Too beige. A few decent ideas that seem poorly executed.

You don't wanna cut holes in your stone backslash for outlets, but you cut a hole for a pot filler with not one, but 2 sinks two feet away, one on each side of your range top. A little hypocritical if you ask me
@catmar6414 күн бұрын
Terrible placement of the dishwasher near the left sink. I assume that is another dishwasher next to the right sink. Although there is a gas range the additional wall ovens are placed too far away from the range and 3 ovens is overkill. Long walk to the refrigerator so I would have utilized additional refrigerator drawers in the island or near the gas range. Agree on the outlets, very low budget look. Island light fixtures look like a dusting nightmare. But whomever buys this house most likely has housekeepers. Overall the monochromatic look is beautiful IMO but not as functional as it could have been with this much space to design a kitchen.

It looks great, but I think that faucet with the instant boiling water is dangerous. Imagine a child wanting to wash her hands and getting blasted by that thing.

Style over function. Those outlets are impossible to see which makes plugging things into them more difficult. Also, as the sockets wear out, they'll hold onto the plugs less reliably and gravity will pull them out

Sure, cause why would you want to actually use your kitchen?

The cabinets do not photograph well. They look like Home Depot grade generic boxes. Why bother using marble when it almost looks like stick-on shelf liner. And the plastic white power outlets scream “cheap.” 😢. I actually think the Butler’s pantry looks so much better than the kitchen. 😢😢

I saw somewhere that it could be against code to place an outlet inside a cabinet. Is this state-specific? Like all of the elements separately but it’s too monotone for my taste. the hood looks like an ungainly block.

First of all, The Kitchen is too heavy and not to my taste, but that’s just me. If this kitchen designer doesn’t find anything wrong with presenting to the world, his cabinets and showing you the pull out that lifts up the bread maker with all the squeaky noisy sounds associated with it then they don’t seem to have attention to details. Lifting that bread maker should be silent. This is a designer that I would use for the reason that the design is not to my taste and the lack of attention to detail and showing an accoutrement that isn’t working well on the video.

What a beautiful kitchen. The under the cabinet outlets are ideal, super functional and very efficient. I love the pendants over the island. Would you share the manufacturer and product name?

What type of stone is sintered stone made up? Does it use resin binder? Is it treated with anti-microbial coating (not desirable)?

Why don’t they make the entire home a kitchen. Who the heck is dropping by that they need that much room. That would actually have a lonelier feel to it. Probably the exact opposite impression you’d want to give.

I've never heard anyone complain about a kitchen that's too big. We regularly have four people in the kitchen at the same time cooking and/or prepping ingredients, and would love a kitchen set up like this.

I know you said its a client kitchen but this has to be a display kitchen...who needs 3 microwaves in a kitchen...I now need to know why! The 3 ovens and 3 sinks make all the sense in the world as does the fridge sizing but the other one that stumps me is why is there 2 separate cooking areas especially when the induction top (assuming it is) looks to be unvented...

@@thekitchenguynyc got it. you should do an explanation video on what that really means...call it "What makes a Kosher Kitchen" or something for us uninformed ones, 😆 I mean i get the gist of it, but a video would be a good piece of content and you could explain the nuances of Kosher vs standard design requirements and such - just a thought

Agreed on the lack of creativity comment but this kitchen is way north of 100k in cost...thats probably their total cabinet, stone, and appliance costs withotu any actual work being done - those appliances alone are about $45-60k depending on the specific ovens he picked and such. Heck my home is not worth anywhere near that 12M mark and my kitchen is going to cost about that much if not more in just materials...CA prices for you...
