Was long hoping for a Mass Effect skirmisher tabetop battle game (or a naval one). This isn't it, but I guess the minis could be used to homebrew something. I'd be more happy with generic ME minis rather than the video game characters though.

To piggyback on your suggestion about not being afraid to overdo the elements - you can also have a lot of fun HIDING small details within the base. It can almost serve as an Easter egg hunt, placing pieces of interest that aren't always obvious. It's a reward to the viewer who spends a little more effort examining the work. Nice video!

Important to note that any new base should be the same overall size as the original, as the base factors into the size of the in-game hitbox

It's easier to be creative if you're working with a fresh base. If you just add sand you risk burying the feet. I so feel like the thin bases they come on make them look like board game minis and less like wargame minis. Just a preference though

So, Video game wise, those hatches were weapon pads and the circle ones were equipment pads. Thats where weapons and equipment spawned during the match. I envision for Flashpoint, that those are terrain elements for flair for your tokens on the map.

A 2nd monsters based faction would be cool. Almost every faction has humans and robots but if you want monsters you need neverborn. All puppet faction, or puppet focused. Bring back collodi and have zoraida dual NB + puppets. Graduate Hinamatsu to master and add in some new ones. Would love a master of whoever crafted Collodi

Sangheili Mercenary is the Banished equivalent of the Sangheili Minors in the Covenant, both have blue armour in the games. There are other ranks in the game and I suppose they will have different characteristics and stats when they come to Flashpoint.

Ok a warning to add about foam as a carrying choice. The foam will rub against the model after a little while it’ll remove the paint. Got some first hand experience sadly
