You save a lot of money, you're like me your DIY IM punk DIY Alibaba to my Grandpa time I do alternative living so I pay and live and pay a lot less rent just like you're gonna pay no rent for a Barber or Hair Salon you have. A mobile and you can charge my fee to come to the house as well, so you gonna make a lot of money doing this, you're very smart.

A shop called 1AAuto put out the same video, for the same year car and said you have to loosen the motor mounts AND jack up the engine, to replace the alternator. So I find this video and watch a female who works for herself, show me a way to do it, in less than half the time and 1/10th the hassle! Thank you sooooo much. So much for "professional" mechanics.

Thank youuuu for your compliment. I actually made the video after watching a few others of course, install it soooo difficult and saying to myself, “there has to be an easier way”! So luckily the first alternator faulted, which made me actually record an easier to follow video.

This is a 2.0. The 2.3 engine has the alternator mounted in the back, against the firewall. That was the vehicle the 1AAuto shop was working on. There is another video showing the alternator being replaced from the bottom for the 2.3. I think that's the best, at least that was how I did it. Plan on 4 hours if doing the 2.3

I got my alternator in by grinding off some bracket metal edging. A bit of a trick getting the alternator in but it worked!
