Is there a way to get in touch with AJ via Mail?? Right know im using Ableton to do light as well and it would be a great help to ask him some stuff to upgrade and have a better Light Show.
@slaction8 жыл бұрын
I bet if this dude is still doing lights he's sitting his ass in front of a console now, or he ain't working at all. All the things that he's trying to avoid with this overly complex setup is exactly what LDs get paid to do. Don't want to work behind a light desk? Then don't do lights.

anyway to get that mxp plug-in for ableton!!! i would love any other info about this style of doing lighting!!!!

I wanna know why most gigs in the UK are so quiet now? Most indoor gigs and all outdoor gigs in the UK arnt loud anymore like they were in the mid 90s when I started going to them. I heard it was the Labour gov bringing sound laws in. Any truth?

Maybe the government lowered the maximum output db on a consert?
@callumvernon70538 жыл бұрын
+GoCotton PA's these days, especially line arrays like are used here, are about delivering the same ENERGY as older systems but at a much lower volume. The newer systems allow you to tune each speaker separately to gain a much more even coverage across the venue which also contributes to getting a clearer sound at lower volumes. Being a sound engineer myself, I hate working with bands who just ask for the sound to be as loud as it can go, because with volume, you lose clarity. Hope this helps!

That is a LOT of equipment that could potentially go wrong, but it's pretty cool seeing him playback lighting off a midi keyboard controller. It's also interesting that everything is timecode and basically automated out of the macbook, but that's not really something you could do with most other bands (ones that don't have 100% clicktracks/backing tracks)
@julienborer957112 жыл бұрын
Maybe that it demands more programming time, but the fun is totally different while you're running the show. Plus, you have a whole access to all your palettes and have a lot more buttons to program your cues.
