I just got done taking a flight in doc. Truly a once in a lifetime opportunity. It was amazing. I’ve been an aviation nut my whole life and my first time ever flying was 3500feet above my hometown in a B-29

I had the oppurtnity to go in one when the CAF was in peotone illinois. Back in 2017. In August. Summer year going into my freshman year of highschool. I had the little pilot cap on. It was such a cool experince. It was such a hot day that day ill never forget it, and when we took off and we were in the air the immediate change in cooler temperature on my face.

I flew the J-31 for 4.5 years, hundreds of hours in that work horse. Notice the slight yawing of her on final, no yaw damper. Also just after touchdown and going into beta on the props the flaps "dump" to 70 degrees. we flew 8 to 10 legs a day in that tub!

Love this plane! I grew up un Tulsa and used to watch one fly around that looked just like this one. The airport was called Harvey Young was where it was based.

FIFI. Not Fifi or FiFi My father was a USAAF B-29 navigator 1944-1945. He died in 2016 age 94. He saved and I have his original flight jacket with squadron insignia. My son and I visited (did not fly on) FIFI at Boire Field in Nashua NH in 2018. My family are Friends Of Doc.

Just saw her fly over Kings Island in Mason, Ohio, and oh boy was it a sight to see. Those radials are terrifying at a lower altitude flyover 😂. Beautiful aircraft

what your talking about is g force yes you might if you accelerate quickly but only a small amount, fighter jet pilots experience lots of this during high g manuvers, such as cobras, high g training, turning and nose pitch ups
