I've noticed that my rocker arms don't seem to seat in the push rods ends tightly. Im wondering if thats why I'm having trouble adjusting the values. Mine were all to tight and after adjusting Intake and exhaust vales per the specs it runs on all 4 cylinders. it seems noisy though.

I got to get me one of these as I do a lot of hunting with shotgun more than any other firearm. How long can you make that 25lb bag of shot last?
@hannibal61577
@hannibal61577 Ай бұрын
these are 1 oz loads for trap and skeet, so, if I did the math right, I'll get about 400 shells out of the 25 pound bag. If you're shooting heavier loads for hunting, then you'll get less.

If you're just looking for shells to shoot, like Remington Gun Clubs, not really all that beneficial - cost wise - to reload. If you're looking for hunting loads, then yeah, probably a good idea. I'd recommend a MEC 600 Jr over this press, but this one gets the job done.

@@hannibal61577I'm kinda torn between the 2 models. I'd like to reload and stock away a bunch of mini/short #4 Buck & maybe #00 Buck shells for messing around. I know the MEC 600 jr. would be a solid consistent press & an heirloom machine too. Not that there aren't 50yr old LLA2s still in action today. As little as I get out & shoot I know I wouldn't wear out either model.

You can take a 12 gauge fired hull : 1. Remove primer 2. Shell down to about 2 inches long. 3. Cut a dial down about 4 inches and take screw and put screw thought primer hole and screw into the dial. 4. Take top off Lee Load All and put the shell down over the release chamber holder then use the charge bar to finish emptying the left powder are shot. 5. You can even remove the charge bar and replace the bushing. It works and have tried it several times. ( Seem 3dreloadingandmore video couple years ago kzbin.info/www/bejne/gaDZg4yro8iNrrs )

@hannibal61577
@hannibal61577 7 ай бұрын
Yes, definitely recommended to check for accuracy! I recently put out another video on using the Lee Load All 2 where I spend a great deal of time checking the powder accuracy. I used an electronic scale in that video. You could use that to check both powder and shot, just remember to change it from grains to ounces. Any scale that you trust will do the trick.

Hello, yes it been long since you uploaded this video but may i ask what typenof conversion is the air filter? Does it come as a whole or its just that filter part that gets attached to the original clamp to the carburettor?
@hannibal61577
@hannibal61577 7 ай бұрын
Hi, yes, it's a K&N filter that fits the original air horn part that clamps to the carburetor. Last time I looked (years ago) the part number that I ordered wasn't available anymore, but I think you can still get something that works, just need a filter that fits over that air horn.

Ive used the Lee press for several years, and I've learned that if you're careful, you can angle the charge bar out of the press enough to change a bushing without emptying the hopper. For powder you would move the bar to the right so the rounded edge is still below the drop opening from the hopper. This keeps it blocked while you pull the right side out enough to get to the bushing. Doing this I can experiment with several bushings in a matter of minutes. I was about ready to give up on the press before I figured this out. The same can be done with the shot bushing.
@grassyacreshomestead700
@grassyacreshomestead700 7 ай бұрын
One clarification...this can only be done if one of the hoppers is empty. I typically fill the powder hopper and fidget with the bushing before adding shot. The shot bushings are usually pretty close, so they don't need much adjustment.
@hannibal61577
@hannibal61577 7 ай бұрын
@@grassyacreshomestead700 That makes a lot of sense, and would save time. Can take awhile to empty the hopper if there's a lot in there. Thanks for the tip!

Just got a sizemaster in 410 for Christmas. Looking forward to cranking out some pinky rounds. Been loading 1 ounce gun club 12 gauge on the 9000. Grandpa taught me on the "jr" more than 50 years ago. Where did you find the WW 209 primers?

I've had those Winchester 209s for several years now. I was buying them at a local gun shop before everything went stupid again. Currently, I'm saving my last Winchesters for my STS hulls and using Cheddite 209s for the Gun Clubs because I heard the Cheddites will stretch the primer pocket. Haven't tested that theory myself yet. Thanks for watching!

Very useful video. I've been reloading for over 40 years and have owned several makes of reloaders. In my opinion the MEC is the best for the money. I wanted to watch this video to see if there was any BS such as using a cheerio to fill space. Or substituting Black Powder for smokless. I glad to say that you kept on track and didn't do anything stupid or dangerous. I actually saw on another reloading video a man seating a primer with a wooden mallet.😵🥴 Thanks for the informative video.

Thanks for the video. I just rebuilt my CJ3B engine a few months ago. It has good oil pressure at start up and running, but once the Jeep is up to temperature the oil pressure drops to almost nothing. What could be causing that?
@hannibal61577
@hannibal61577 2 жыл бұрын
It's been so long since I've rebuilt mine. I put a real oil pressure gauge on temporarily, you can see it in the other video. Now I just have the idiot light. However, have you checked the manual for the acceptable readings? I've read online that the manual says minimum of 6 PSI. I have to run out the door now to work, but I'll try to look later to see if I find the oil pressure range in the manual. As to why it drops like that, that's beyond my knowledge.
@hannibal61577
@hannibal61577 2 жыл бұрын
So I did verify, service manual says down to 6 PSI at idle is OK. If you're not getting that, did you take a look at your oil pump when you rebuilt the engine? I also saw where guys said cam bearings can cause that issue too. Those should have been replaced though, if you did the full rebuild.
@randomcitizen2384

@@hannibal61577 New oil pump and new everything. The crank was machined and reused, but all bearings and cam were replaced with new ones. Another you tube Willys guy said some machine shops don’t know what they are doing and don’t set the tolerances where they should be so the pressure drops when it is warm. He suggested tearing it all apart and redoing it all🤨. Of course he had a gigantic shop and machine shop to do that with. I have my driveway and that’s it. I’ll try running some Lucas oil stabilizer in it and see if that helps the pressure. Thanks
