Anybody figure out what exactly the problem is my 335i is doing this exact shit they told me battery and alternator both are fine? My battery is barley a year old alternator tested fine. My car started this last year did it a few times and stopped then a whole year later it started again

Battery not the alternator tripe A guy told me it was the alternator.

Mine was overheating and as I tried to start it again after letting it cool (Leaking coolant) I had this problem. Never had it before. Just gets better and better. In a parking lot while it's raining at the moment lol. Ahhh

this vid is helpful. I came up with an idea thinking it's the water pump making noise. looked up vids on water pump noise and this came up. sounds exactly the same! thanks much for the vid now I need to fix it or I'll be sitting on the side of road somewhere lol

I ran into this same problem this morning. Monday morning, go figure. When I got home I tested the battery and its @ 10.3 volts. Definitely bad.

i have a b5 passat with forge splitter, i have no clue why mine isn't that loud might of installed in wrong? but if im correct you have the 1.8t and there DV is under the passenger side under the air box. I had jack my car up to install it. If you can, can you show a picture of how yours is set up?
