Bravo! An excellent explanation of lighting in general and white background lighting. Unfortunately for a lot of amateurs like me space can be a problem to achieve the optimal results but I'm sure with a little modification similar results could be possible.

Awesome video, man! Really cool that you mentioned handing these out to the crew-just curious, are you printing them on the spot or sending them to another device first? Love the behind-the-scenes insight, appreciate you sharing the process! 🔥📸

In 2014 I got a full frame Canon 6D to replaced my Canon 2Ti APS-C. I was finding myself still using the 2Ti until I recently got the Canon R10. Crop sensors camera rules for my applications or style of photography. BTW, I've been using different format cameras since 1975. Thanks for the video.

As it has been said by others: One Light influenced me a lot back in the day and helped me tremendously when I was starting with photography. You're one of the G.O.A.T.'s of photography. Never doubt that. By the way, I never comment on videos. I commented on this one. That's how important I think this is for you to know. And I don't care if this video is 4 years old as I just realized. 😂

I know this is a 4-year-old video, but I only found it today as I got home from the local camera club photo comp and didn't win anything (not to be sexist but only the men who entered won, which pissed me off even more). Two that did win copied my ideas from last year that I won. I can't stand copy-cats they make my blood boil. I don't know if I should quit entering or try something completely new and just see. Any ideas?

Hey Zach. Roughly 9 years later and I'm rewatching some of my favorite videos. This one hit home with me. I'm in a hanging in there - but hunker down place currently. I very much hope that you're in a better space mentally/physically/professionally currently. I wish you my best and hope you and your family are well.

So inverse square law is like being up close to a campfire? As you take one step away you notice as big change in temperature. But when you're 7 or 8 steps away you hardly notice the temperature change between steps 7, 8, 9, etc.

I try and watch this at least once a year, or, as needed - it is a wonderful document, and obviously so profoundly helpful to so many. I've shared this countless times with many photographers, but it applies to anyone who "makes" things. When you return to this video - after you take in its message - imagine a person or three who could REALLY use it right now, and share it with them. don't just share the link, share WHY it is so meaningful, to you. We Love you Zack, Wherever you are, we hope you are living your best life.❤❤❤

I was very recently asked what's the reason APSC is not considered a professional Camera when compared with full frame. I immediately forwarded this video. I had watched many years ago and I wanted to share this with him so I have done so. I'm finding now when my photography after years of experience, I enjoy the process I have a lot more and I'm not as small minded as I once was now I love photography and all the different mediums that we have available. I've got many cameras, from tiny sensors in them to medium format sensors. I am looking at getting into large format photography next year.

@ZackArias I have missed your perspectives on photography, and on humanity. I came to your channel today, hoping, just hoping, that you would have a post up about the new X100. I'm still carrying the X100s that I bought because of you. I have held out for this one for a very long time. I would definitely love to see your perspective on it.

Thanks for the video Zack! I just started looking at galleries I could use for events other than Dropbox. I was suggested to try Pixieset, PicTime and Shootproof. With very little research I was leaning toward Shootproof since I have looked at them years ago but never did anything with them except get their emails to this day. Since watching your video my mind is made up! I may start with the freebie unless you suggest different. I don't shoot a lot of events like I used to but I have one next weekend and want to present them more professionally than Dropbox. Any suggestions you can give me will bee appreciated! Thanks again! Dan
