What a great sound! Well worth the long drive. I would be delighted to own an electric phonograph, but I don't know the first thing about period electrics and as a result I stick with spring machines. Congratulations 😊

Thank you! I have the Edison sitting beside a Victrola Credenza and I really expected the Credenza to compare favorably in sound quality. While the Credenza is a bit louder, you get much more surface hiss from the records through the horn on the Credenza than you do the speaker on the Edison. I've always been a windup guy and can do most things except replace a spring. Now I'm interested in the early electrics and I may buy an inexpensive inoperable Victor RE-45 to learn how to restore these.

Buck, my name is Bryan Jones, and I'm a filmmaker on the Outer Banks. I'd like to use a few seconds of this footage in a documentary I'm doing on Eddie Greene. I can do a new transfer of the footage on a professional transfer machine. [email protected]

I live fifteen minutes from here. This place has so much paranormal activity going on. If you pause the video when you are seeing the submarine you will see faces in the water.

why did the Japanese attack such a nice place
@wolfiestarlightaj85698 жыл бұрын
It was a very peaceful place and they wanted to disturb that by sending bombs on the place 1,000 even more people were killed and that's not all 2,000 people and more idk what they were called but they were killed now all the people that died their names are on a wall

Because the US imposed an embargo on the japanese, the japanese need raw materials they didnt have and their navy couldnt operate more than a few years without material, and at the time it was fighting against the british in the southern pacific (planning an invasion of australia) and against the chinese and british on mainland china, an invasion of australia itself is a logistical nightmare, imagine doing it without supply lines + a threat of a prepared american intervention in the war (they had colonies in the philippines to threaten supply lines to the southern pacific). If that wasnt enough the US was supplying russia and the british with lend lease programs, once the russians would have finished the war in europe they would have turned their eyes on the japanese in manchuria (just like how it happened in real life) and the japanese were aware of this, so their high command decided to put their navy out of use, unfortunately for the japanese, even tho they had prepared by studying the british attack on taranto, they were struck by a wave of misfortune and equipment failure, the japanese bomber squadron were off time, 40% of the bombs fizzled, 2 aircraft carriers were not present in the harbor and japanese pilots mistook some cruisers for battleships, nontheless they inflicted heavy casualties on the US, it was only thanks to the US production output that they were able to replace the losses. So yeah, thats why they bombed pearl, they were scared that the US would've entered at somr point

Storm erZ Your description is awesome except for one small detail. The Japanese didn't have as you say "a few years" of raw materials after the embargo....especially when it comes to oil. They had used so much by the time of the embargo that they themselves estimated that they could only go maybe another five months.
