Soo frustrating trying to understand the voice actor for the devil/mephistopheles. Otherwise the recording would be so enjoyable.

Heathcliff is one of the most revolting characters I have ever seen in fiction; I mean, crushing the last pictures of a young girl's family members simply due to your putrid son's vanity? kidnapping and holding her captive to force her to marry Linton such that he could own the Grange? this chapter increased by disgust for Heathcliff, and therefore Linton, by tenfold...

god this scene is just... awful not only was Linton wasting away from tuberculosis, slowly dying and forgetting the people around him, but also had so much trauma for Heathcliff abusing him that he was having paranoid nightmares of Heathcliff coming and beating him I used to hate Linton, but now I understand that Heathcliff is the true monster in this scenario

this chapter is a great expression of how manipulative Haathcliff is in getting what he wants (in this case, for Cathy to marry Linton so that he can get access to the Grange)

I have been fine with every voice in this audio book thus far, even Joseph's... but Linton's voice is so grating man I can't deal with this 😭

I can not believe how much I have gotten into this book!!! I started off with the first 4 or 5 chapters not thinking it be anything special, but I am deeply engrossed into the story now. I could not have imagined how much arguing, bloodshed, passion, and romance would be apart of this novel; it has gotten to the point where I have to tell my mom what is happening because she has gotten interested as well XD

Mr Lockwood while is the person who creates the opportunity for us to learn the history and story of WH and TC ...is really annoyingly chatty! Like you can sense these people don't want to be disturbed and he is just posing his 21questions galore! lol

Honestly I think that it isn’t too hard to imagine aliens being on mars. Sure they may not have originated there but they could have travelled from a much farther planet and are simply using mars as a staging ground.
