Thanks for showing off the game. I'll note down too that the boss battles is a big jump in difficulty for all new players since normal battles are basically "kill as many enemies as possible" while bosses are "kill a boss unit that can only be damaged by forward weapons." When I tried this game during its EA days, I was also threw off by the sudden difficulty spike and win conditions for bosses, and over time, I found out how to defeat them based on the card pool, etc. and was ever killing the boss himself on phase 1 of the fight. After a few days though, I think I was starting to get bored of it since the game doesn't have much gameplay left once you complete your first run and all of the achievements tried to it, tried each class twice on each difficulty level, and saw the same cards over and over again (saw the same neutral cards 3+ times in each run, telling me the card pool isn't that big). If a new player does stick around long enough on the game, I think they will learn what cards to pick up, what order to play their cards in, where to move to, etc. to avoid as much damage as possible, and tactical games does have the player think move about where to move too, etc. I'll note too that my main con was that a lot of cards move you into random tiles and that at least one tile will always be on the main 3x3 board (I told the developer about "random tile target" cards during EA where the game picks tile outside the 3x3 grid, and he made sure at least 1 tile is picked among the grid), and even a faction is all about randomness with their stuff, but I don't like it when its tied to RNG on some of this stuff to begin with and the game picks the stuff that hunts me the most "move into an enemy, etc." Anyway, I hope I said enough on the game since I got my time's worth from it (and money) and its a nice grab for less than $10 when its on sale and maybe a few days of gameplay.

is Aloft supposed to have anything to do with the old defunct Worlds Adrift game? Loved Worlds Adrift but was saddened with how it went belly up cause of SpatialOS it was developed on.

“Find your clone!” *immediately finds clone faster than the game can set up important concepts like how to play* You cannot write shit this funny.

Interesting, like a cross between Rune Factory, LoZ: Wind Waker, and Harvest Moon? The graphics are kind of nice, the higher quality 3D stuff sometimes gives me motion sickness

4:14 If I had to guess, "they" is the clone and "this" is standing so close to you - hindering your vision and getting in the way of your aim. The clone is forcing them to stand close to you and surround you to try to get the upper hand, to ambush you more easily.

Very cool and charming. I'm in the early design phase of a city builder. I was thinking of ancient civilizations, but maybe I should go for something more unique.

I feel like the big twist is that you’re not trying to fight your clone, but instead, you are a changeling hunting humans and changing your appearance to look like them (killing them in order to not get your cover blown immediately)

The fact that most of the art and UI in this game look almost identical to Stardew Valley is going to hurt it.

Just tried it. My first enemy kept removing my creatures and had hard wrath, then finished the game with creatures way bigger than what i have in my deck. And since the graveyard shuffled back, it just kept wrathing until I had nothing. It's so dumb.

This is so much fun and stressful, but I can also see multiplayer being funny and relationship destroying.
