Yeah probably because they are in a rush and no time to start 2nd engine after pushback. Or for fuel consumption.

@Skyflight971 Salut, top ça, cela fait longtemps que je souhaite faire le Fascinosa, c’est le dernier navire de forme « Destiny » parmi les 16 construits pour Costa et Carnival, ce qui en fait le plus grand nombre dans le monde pour une même base de navire. Je dis base / forme car il y a des differences entre eux, repartis en plusieurs classes.

@@unfinishedsympathy245 Bonjour, oui en effet HEPB n’est plus aux Antilles et basé à Paris. La vidéo date d’un an ( Décembre 2023 ) Air France a stoppé la ligne, à priori elle a durée entre fin 2023 et mi- 2024. La vidéo du vol Aller PTP - SXM 8j plus tôt était le vol inaugural de la ligne.

@@learjet55c Hi, sorry for inconvenience, I don’t have a camera with adaptive optical zoom so if I let every take off and landing at full time and same optic, we can feel a lack of dynamism and be bored. I prefer a planespotting video that doesn’t exceed 30 min with main airlines at the airport. BN-2 at St.Barts are owned by many airlines or charters but aren’t the majority about traffic. I’ve at least tried to capture as photo each airlines with BN-2, it’s on instagram.

@@ThisPartIsAndrew Hi, thank you, due to terrain configuration wind is often from variable directions with some gusts, idk wind speed, probably between 5 - 15 kts average wind that day, few gusts > 20 kts

Hi, thanks for your comment, I recorded with smartphone so I can't zoom while recording without losing a lot on quality. I need to switch focal lens by recording another video. So if I let all take-offs and landings with the same zoom, the video would be too boring and long. I tried to record at least one full take-off by aircraft type using max zoom lens ( x5 ) I have to invest for a better camera with optical zoom control 😅 Since I returned in St Barts with more footages and a micro, I'll try to keep some full landings

Salut, il n'y a pas de permis pour le planespotting, à la rigueur une autorisation si pénétration dans la zone critique aéroportuaire mais c'est un cas de figure exceptionnel. J'ai filmé en dehors du grillage ( ou périmètre de sûreté ) donc c'est ok. Cela concerne tous les aéroports

😂 very small bay and this runway is only 2100 ft long, it would need to be extend clear acoss the bay and into half that mountain with the homes on it, out to 6500+ ft for a b737, nothing bigger.

This Airport is designed for SLTO Aircrafts. Heard about the Airport years ago had thouught it was lengthened.

Yeah indeed designed for this type of aircraft, DHC6 Twin Otter is currently the biggest aircraft allowed to land. Runway length is 646 m
