מחשבה + ג' =משיח Our thoughts need to be fully united with our (3) intellectual faculties to bring mashiach! Or משיח = אב מחשבה Mashiach is the father of thought, which resonates nicely with Mashiach being a masiach - communicator or coming from speech mi'siach

I understand what you said about letters of Torah represent actually a word! A way to form fundamental sound that represnts that meaning! Ir has to do with sound!

Primitive life for humans allowed a number of basic methods of communication. Some of these were facial expressions, sounds, touch, and gestures. Some of these factors were interpreted as things. When sounds became more complex, communication became more effective. Skip ahead to rudimentary writing. The obvious progression would be from simple symbols in the sand to combinations thereof. The sophisticated meanings possible with the stringing together letters in systems evolved like our other more sublime methods of expressing what was in our minds. The association with deeper levels of meaning was developed as were the concepts in our minds. Some of the understanding of deeper meanings relating to original thoughts not expressed fully or well in earlier communications have the appearance of an undertanding that may or may not be significant, but probably is in some cases. Treating every letter in this way is a very ambitious claim.

Rachel weeps for her children” (Jeremiah 31:14). “Rachel” represents the Divine Presence. The Divine Presence weeps, as it were, for the suffering of the Jewish people scattered among the gentiles. And the Divine Presence weeps for the destruction of the Temple at the Western Wall. When there is weeping, there are no bright lights.

I was just listening to Peter, Paul, and Mary's version of "Kisses Sweeter Than Wine", and thought about your seventy faces series. It would be a great melody for the dulcimer! ❤

The Chassidim BST was a very uncommon Chassidim, a man of heart mysticism, and as such a spiritually important figure he is rather a non-Chassidim compared with the irrational rationalism of Chabad Lubavitch. It is said about a stop on a travel, that he kneed down to pray and suddenly even the sheep at the near field kneed together him. As a non-Jew, I always had a good feeling about him. We can find some quotes by him: "There is no room for God in the man who is filled with himself.” “Before you can find God, you must lose yourself.” “Your fellow man is your mirror. If your own face is clean, the image you perceive will also be flawless. But should you look upon your fellow man and see a blemish, it is your own imperfection that you are encountering - you are being shown what it is that you must correct within yourself.” “He who is full of joy is full of love.” “From every human being, there rises a light.” “Everything above and below is one unity.” “The central aspect of worship is the feeling of being at one with God.” “If a man has beheld evil, he may know that it was shown to him in order that he learn his own guilt and repent; for what is shown to him is also within him.” “People should allow themselves the opportunity to really know what the unity of God means. To grasp a part of the nondivisible union is to grasp the whole.” “From every human being, there rises a light that reaches straight to heaven, and when two souls that are destined to be together find each other, the streams of light flow together, and a single brighter light goes forth from that united being.” So many disciples and scholars claim to know the correct Israel ben Eliezer, so it may not hurt you if I claim him for European mysticism. He centers around the heart, he is woven into a net that ranges from Hindu Bhakti to Sufism and Christian mysticism. I never felt the aura of exclusiveness or chosenness, and, following his deep experience of oneness, he would have never called for genocide. And he would probably not accept supporters of such cruelties as Jews. The conclusion that the present state is an evil one would lead him to pray ceaselessly for these blinded people and at the same time, he would stand together with the slaughtered and humiliated children of Ismael. This is "my" Ba'al Shem Tov. Finally, his oneness enriched countless people and may enlighten us also today. Good luck.

Rabbi, perhaps you want to do a series covering all the possible mediations of the Divine Space? Even better, could you possibly include a segment perhaps at the end of class when we actually take a few moments to DO the meditation?? That would be SO great!
