Maybe the listened to me and changed them to fit correctly again. I hope so because I really like there pads.

Just bought some, 5 inch, and the 6 inch, they fit the same as the old ones I have from over 4 years ago.

I tried to use warm water in my Honher harmonica. The wood did break up. I saw a video Neil Young put the harmonica in water at stage. Then i found out he did it to get a deeper tune that last the song. So.. i startet to do this and my harmonica was broken after a while.. then i realized.. damn He (Neil) can buy one new harmonica every day if he want too.
@bsnf-5 Жыл бұрын
Yeah. In realit you never really need to clean your harmonica with anything else, than a little wet piece of cloth, once every 3 monts or so. And tap after every playing. That's all. People wash too much and use too much water
@MPam16192 жыл бұрын
Someone actually placed her mouth on my mom's harmonica without my permission. ( i didn't know it was at the bottom of a pile of things i was sorting in an effort to pack up my mom's apartment.) She just picked it up and blew on it. I was shocked!! Who does this kind of thing, & in the middle of a pandemic at that?! So i really need to sanitize it. I'm not giving it away.

@christianchavez81412 жыл бұрын
depends on how much you play it. I clean mine every 1 month and I play alot

Once a year is enough, unless you play like everyday and for many hours.

Detergent is designed to dissolve fats, oils, etceterea. It's a surfactant. Doen't seem like the best solution. I use hydrogen peroxide. Find a narrow jar, soak for 15 minutes then rinse with water, tap and shake, use hair dryer on cool setting. Don't use water on wood combs, the wood will swell up.
@Jaysmobiledetailn4 жыл бұрын
You are correct this is Not the best solution but it is an easy way that works well. I never once said it was the best solution. Truthfully the best way is to take the harmonica apart and use alcohol. Peroxide I would think would leave a residue behind if not rinsed off in water after. I posted this video years ago to show an easy way to clean your harp. It works great for me and always has. Thanks for watching my video. 😁

I gave a nice harmonica to my 1 1/2 year old for Christmas and although he’s loving it, the spit and nastiness is already brewing in there 😂 So I’ll give this a try
@mikejbaron6 жыл бұрын
Some say let the harmonica dry in the air. Others say dry it with a hairdryer on the cool setting. I don't support either drying suggestion because the contaminates (solids and debris) in the saliva WILL REMAIN IN THE HARMONICA! You want the contaminates that are in solution to exit the harmonica as the saliva exits the harmonica! Think of it this way: Say you have a glass that is wet with salt water and you let the glass "air dry." The liquid evaporates but the salt and the minerals remain in the glass...and the evidence is the residue on the glass. If you shake all the salt water out of the glass, the solids and particles in solution are ejected as the glass is shaken. TADA!
@kelseywu37235 жыл бұрын
Or maybe you wash the glass with clean water and then let it air dry, which it the actual equivalent to what he's doing. What you said is if you leave the saliva in the harmonica which is the exactly what cleaning the harmonica is preventing. Obviously.

@aaron75204 жыл бұрын
Kind of late, but, don’t pull right away after you just pulled, try to "reset" it. It happened to me before, I got a giant bruise on my right hand because it yanked the cord super hard.
