What software is used to create the 3D CAD model which can be used both for animation and for manufacturing ? instead of 3D modelling in 2-3 diff softwares
@IntegratedBIM22 күн бұрын
Great question! We typically use a combination of multiple tools to create 3D models that are suitable for both animation and manufacturing. This allows us to leverage the strengths of each software for specific tasks, ensuring accuracy for manufacturing while also optimizing the model for animation.
@jiti503421 күн бұрын
@@IntegratedBIM Thank , so what are those software> and if manufacturer has already doen a accurate 3D model do you take it and convert in other softwares or re create from scratch There lies a problem ( coming from Industrial Design/ Mech engg background) any re modelling in 2 diff software means error chances so for example if a manufacturer ( even the product is a small building) uses Mech 3D Cad like Pro E / Solidwegde, Inventor to creat the MASTER 3D model which is accurate as that is what is going to be manufactured and has to be correct then why recreate it in another 3D software , Can the animation software take the original 3D model and work from there ,, so for example master Model in Solidworks, then take it in into 3D Studio Max via neutral format? Or if you want to create BIM for manufacturing model then the product manufacturer might already have a very accurate 3D model in SOlidworks and take it in in to Revit process it etc For example if we compare say a industrial product like a Fridge to a building the manufacturer of the fridge will use only 1 powerful 3D Mech / Industrial design software and then all other stake holder use that master model be it toolmaker or a graphics renderer , where as in Civil Construction all stake holders seems to use diff 3D Cad Packages , Arictect will use diff than Fabricator ( tekla) and graphics will use something else , every time re creating the model! just sounds disjointed approach

How can a Schema over come barriers to Level of Information Need? A schema is just a specific database/resource related to dedicated data-sets. In BIM, if we do not start comprehending how metadata works through process of extracting information data: Ontologies > complex extraction links through to > Payload files, etc, BIM will strangle itself through all manner of syntax compilation issues. Is it a good practice to have survey, base and internal point in the same place with same geografic value? Then you don't make confusions
@IntegratedBIM Жыл бұрын
Thank you for highlighting this important point, Fukuda! Having the survey point, base point, and internal origin in the same location with the same geographic value can indeed be a good practice to avoid confusion. When these points align, it helps maintain consistency and accuracy throughout your project. It ensures that elements are positioned precisely and eliminates any discrepancies that may arise from misalignment. The survey point is a reference for real-world coordinates. At any point in time, if you want to work with real-world coordinates, this approach allows you to have full control and flexibility. Does this answer your question?
@fukuda6025 Жыл бұрын
Yes, but to be sure I'll run some tests of my case. Those point influence whether you export an IFC with shared coordinates ou internal point. Shared coordinates is only if you're working with Autodesk softwares, if you rotate the north of projects... For further collaboration do you think internal point is better?
@IntegratedBIM Жыл бұрын
@@fukuda6025 Thank you for your question! When it comes to collaboration and sharing files with other software platforms, using the internal point can be a more reliable option. While shared coordinates are specific to Autodesk software, the internal point ensures consistency regardless of the software being used. It provides a common reference point for accurate positioning and alignment. However, it's always a good practice to run tests and evaluate the specific requirements of your case. This will help determine the most suitable approach based on your project's needs and collaboration requirements. We generally use Survey Point as a reference to illustrate real-world coordinates.
