I think kiku's character is so interesting especially the way his gender is played with... he speaks and postures himself like an elegant woman typically would, which makes sense since he was raised by geisha. Its funny but also sort of sad that women seem to love him because he doesn't see them as objects even though he's an asshole that doesnt really seem to care much for them lol, even with miyokichi I think he got close with her because she was a maiko like he might've been. It makes him a much more likable character esp since its josei so the expected audience is female

I love this show soooo much, but I'd have to be drunk or high to rewatched it all in one sitting, this show correlated with my life in multiple ways. I love all the characters so much, this was one of the best anime shows I've ever seen that tackled real life issues amoung young adults so well
