Hey Scott, I stumbled on your Teensy - Ableton controller and I am trying to build something similar to use with my iPad and the Loopcommunity Prime app. You are the only person who has built exactly what I am looking for - I don't suppose you have access to the code you used when you built it? I have no coding knowledge and I am really struggling - I bought an Arduino Uno and I think it's the wrong thing entirely. Cheers.

Hey Scott I see this is really old so not sure if you’ll see this but I want to know if you’re triggering effects on your Line6 and triggering tracks on Ableton at the same time? I want the same system with Loopcommunity Prime and my Voicelive3.
@adinwalls2 жыл бұрын
This is great. I’m wanting to build something to control tracks on Prime for worship leading. I love the idea of using plywood so you can create exactly the shape and size you need.

I love your v2. I just ran across your v1 build page on Indestructibles and its inspiring. have you played with this in the Prime app? It seems you could use some of your extra buttons for like fade in/out and such.

I would buy one of these. I need one to use with my peavey vypyr vip 2 amp. I only need to send program/patch changes and to turn on and off the stomp box and effect of the patch. Do you know if this would work? Amp can use either a 5pin or 8pin midi cable
@theREVfive4 жыл бұрын
there are probably other midi pedals out there that would do what you want

Do you have a wiring diagram by chance? Did you use any kind of resistor inline with the footswitches?
@theREVfive5 жыл бұрын
No Diagram. The switches don't need any resistors. At least i didn't use any. The LEDs do though.

Hey guy, Tell me if I can used this pedal to controller a multieffect pedal without the notebook ?
@theREVfive5 жыл бұрын
Yes, if the multieffect pedal accepts midi (over USB). You could get a midi port adapter for an arduino, but its an extra step. =

But what I do with mine is I use the MIDI out of the DAW software to fire off presets on my line6 POD hd500

Scott Avey You know, if it works for the Helix Stomp and be able to change snapshot, banks, would be just a dream come true. I plan to use a Windows tablet with Helix Native, an interface and a midi and save me the $$ from the actual Helix Floor

Hi. I also use Ableton on our Worship Team, and I was wondering if you'd be willing to share the BPM code? The instructables link is for the first version, and the code for the BPM LED isn't included.
@@theREVfive Wow. That was a lot simpler than I thought it would be. I was watching the MIDI coming from Ableton and thought I'd have to do some weird modulo math. Forest for the trees, anyone? Thank you very much!

Grt Job Bro ........& can This Code work If we Use BLuetooth bLE Module With ardiuno Instead of USB ?? So we can connect With GarageBand ( iPhone ) Without Wire ...?? Plzzzz Rply 🤩

Great question. the code was my weakest part of the project. So I don't know the answer to your question. But I imagine you could also use the lighting to camera usb adapter to the usb cable and it would work on an iphone/Ipad.

Hey Scott, Awesome job! I have some questions for you, Im looking at building a MainStage rig for worship guitar and bass as well as other guitar stuff. I was wondering if you happen to have any resources for me to build a pedal similar to this? and do you think it would be possible to add multiple screens like say the helix has so I can read or see whats there during the worship set. I love the helix I just can't afford one. so I'm thinking I'm going to build one in MainStage since I have a Mac and never use it anyway lol any help is much appreciated. also where do you get the boards and supplies needed to do the build
@theREVfive6 жыл бұрын
check out the other videos in my channel. I built a V2 pedal board that is even better. I suppose you could add multiple screens, but it would get costly and complicated quick. My v2 board has LEDs by each switch and that has been sufficient for me. Heres the instructable for this pedal. www.instructables.com/id/Arduino-Midi-Foot-Controller-for-Ableton-Live/
@jeremytelman68976 жыл бұрын
Yeah I was actually just watching the other video, do you have an intractable for that version? I like the setup and look of that version.I literally have no idea what I'm doing lol, I just want a rig that I can afford. I'm for sure going to be using MainStage and downloading some P&W patches to use with it. Im not sure if you would but I would love help trying to figure out what all I need so I can price it out and run it past the boss lady. I may ditch the idea of the screens on every switch, I liked the led backlights you did. Im not the most technical guy so I really liked about the helix and even the m13 that there were screen colors and text so I know which effects are on at any given time. but I think I could get away with that by doing some sort of rgb led backlights
