SEPTA is horrible…
@trainman19715 күн бұрын
@wirelessone32704 The conductor was at that door off the platform to open everything up from what would be the last open car of the train; nobody would have been permitted to exit through that door.... had there even been anybody aboard. The train was empty, as it had just deadheaded from the yard to begin service at Temple U. So no injury situation to worry about in this case.

Did New Fly acquire Thomas's transit design? They look like an updated version of the Thomas SLF235 from the early 2000's.
@DashTransit26 күн бұрын
So yes and no. I'll tell you the story and you'll see why So the Thomas SLF was the Dennis Dart, imported to America. The Dart was later named Enviro under Alexander-Dennis. New Flyer acquired the rights to import the Enviro to the US in 2014, and then later bought out Alexander-Dennis in 2018(?) So yeah now they own the design.
@trainman197126 күн бұрын
These are actually an Alexander Dennis design that New Flyer built under partnership. That partnership has since ended, and Alexander Dennis is back to being sole builder of this model.

What about express services on some routes?
@trainman1971Ай бұрын
They're just express trips on the route as a whole. If it was a separate route number, that would be a different story, but this only covers the route numbers as an entity, and not service patterns.

No, it was scheduled. At the time, one push-pull set was assigned to Warminster. It departed Market East sometime between 5:05 and 5:20pm, IIRC. Indeed, it was pitch black by 5pm back then. At that time, the time change from Daylight Savings to Standard Time was still the last Sunday of October, and the clocks had just fallen back an hour over the weekend.

Do you have footage of the Route 115 ride back before they were reorganized. Also, what was the first video appearance of the Broad Street Line in your channel?
@trainman1971Ай бұрын
When the 115 was Delmar Village to Ardmore? Yeah, I did do a ride video on the line not long before the reorganization (along with the original configuration of the 111), but I don't believe I've posted them here. As for the first BSL appearance on my channel, I don't recall offhand. I am certain it would not be the first BSL video I ever shot, but it is likely a part of a broader miscellaneous video.
@Septa-f4dАй бұрын
@@trainman1971 can you do so, when you get a chance?
@trainman1971Ай бұрын
@@Septa-f4d Might not have time for a while. Plus, most of my older vids from when I was still on VHS were uploaded at random times in the last 5 years. As for my firs BSL appearance, I definitely won't be able to check on that; I've got nearly 28 years of video to go through to see. But I do have a lot of my older footage on various other flashback videos. It's even probable the first time I ever did SEPTA: Route By Route in 2009 that I shot the BSL for the first time.
