I feel so lucky that I found one by accident. This thing is so good. I love both overdrives tremendously(single coil Fender guy). Something about the way the compressor interacts with the overdrives is magical, in a way that’s a little different than two pedals.

You would actually want to go into Global Settings and set the return jacks to Aux In (In/Outs - Return Type). This way you don’t need to use up a Return block in your signal chain and the sound from Spotify will never be processed through your effects chain.

This is a fever dream, I think. You have the invert polarity like right there in the global settings yet don't mention it. I like how the link to the Line6 one is unavailable. Really caps off the "I still have the same questions" vibe.

How does the FM9 with a power amp and real cab compare to a real amp I am curious because I am looking at a setup like this in the future because I doubt that i will buy another amp but I would like to use my existing vertical 2x12. Would I also mic it like a real amp or have the cab used only as a monitor for me and to fill up space in the room with the modeler going direct to mixer? would this work and would it even be a smart idea to do so because I don't see a lot of people doing this type of setup. I love my real amp but I would be open to a modeler like the Helix or maybe even Fractal the only "problem" with Fractal is that so little units are here in the EU and a lot of people around my place use stuff like Helix, Boss, still a lot of use real amps etc. so any tips or advice? Would the FM3 be too weak for a setup like this or is something like the FM9/Helix Floor better suited for my idea? I don't see myself using the Fender modeler, QC and whatever else exists I don't even know so I am probably only "set" on these two. Thank you in advance and great content.

So I run this to the board/FOH and then use a Seymour Duncan Powerstage 200 and run that into a 2x12 on stage. In the patches, I just make sure the cabinet block is at the very end and I'll have the output 3 not have a cab on it and run that to the PS and 2x12 and get the best of both worlds - amazing tone through the PA and a guitar amp feel behind me

@@ryansnydercg Hey thank you for the reply, english is not my first language so could you explain the routing a bit better I didn't quite get that? What I think I got correctly is that you go straight to PA but somehow you also get your sound with the power amp through cab (I only don't get can you do that throught the whole Fractal unit or a Helix or do you need like a switcher/routing device to split the two signals one going direct and the other one to the cab?) Also does your cab have some special speakers if so at how many Watts and Ohms are the speakers rated at? You also don't mic the cab up just use it to fill in space and use it as a "monitor"? Probably the most important question of them all HOW WELL does this setup sound compared to a real tube amp like full transparent and no bias answer? Sorry for so many questions but I have been searching for someone with a setup like this for a long long time so I wanna know everything before I make my buy. Thank you again 🙏.

The Telecaster will always be the quintessential guitar for classic Country chicken pickin'...that bridge pickup tone is THE sound for sure. But a Strat does a great job too with it's bright bridge pickup tone which has plenty of twang. And the Strat #2 position of bridge/middle pickup combined is cool for certain Country things too. I think it has more to do with the player's technique in how well they chicken pick moreso than the actual guitar. I'm sure if Brad Paisley was handed a Gibson Explorer with EMG humbuckers plugged into his rig he'd probably still pull off a somewhat decent chicken pickin' sound despite not having his classic Tele...it has more to do with how the fingers are working the strings.

I bought a Fender Vintera II NoCaster for the fat U neck and 7.25” fingerboard, because I don’t want a Tele that feels like my Strat. The Tele feel makes me play it like a Tele, not like a Strat. That feel makes all the difference.

Hey there. Lukes sound guy here. Well, his live sound guy. No big secrets on the guys tones. We want to modelers a few years ago because we did an arena tour in the round. Couldn’t have screaming amps under the stage with the techs and monitor engineer. One axe fx SR for Tyler. Kurt, Dustin and JD are all on Helix. Some of them have a setlist arrangement for their tones. Dustin and JD are way more basic.

People who disagree changing the block and saddles makes a difference have never done it, or they’re hearing impaired. It’s something you have to do, you’re not going to hear the difference on KZbin. The stock block has high lead content, which kills tone and sustain. The saddles are cast zinc, and give you icepick highs and bad frequency response. The pickups, once you get the hardware right, actually sound decent. I have a set of hot rodded Seymour Duncan humbuckers (JB/Jazz) that I don’t feel the need to install.

The neck . . . found that on a 1989 Korean Squier . . . so replaced the entire electronics upgrading to Vintage Deluxe Noiseless, which were in the early American Deluxe. To add some 'spank,' Fender sells the VDN pickups with a 500K pot for Vol, and 1M pots for the two tone controls. Some people physically measure ohms on their pots and sort them, so they can fine tune the treble output. Instead of 250's, they find 300's that work better in real world application. Now, if you really want classic spank, upgrade to a pickguard loaded with Fender 57-62's.

Great video. Just my opinion, but I think the internet in general has changed society in a negative way, and ruined the life quality we enjoyed pre 2000ish. If anything, I would say that YT has helped the guitar and guitarists. I do get your point, however. It seems that easy access to the internet, cheaper and more available music making software, etc.😢 has changed the way that musicians get their music out there and get exposure. Maybe even changed the cycle of music genres. Musical style does not seem like it has really evolved much in the last 20 years. Guitar and rock are almost dead right now, which hurts me to the core. I hope it comes back around sometime soon.

On the flipside, we actually think that KZbin is keeping guitar culture alive. Of course, it's not that all the videos are good, but there are so many videos with brilliant narration that explore the art of making guitar based music & the history behind it. Perhaps this is true for any other creative art form as well. Social media in general is amazing if not used for brain rot 😅

Yes and the amount of free lessons by world class teacher is incredible. I stopped 8 years ago and restarted a year ago with KZbin lessons and I sailed past my plateau in 6 months and can now play twice as fast while thinking more about what I play. It's brought back the joy in playing and I joined a band. And thanks to YT I can sit on my behind and watch videos of professional producers explaining how to record an album properly and all I need is an interface and mic. Meanwhile the choice in high quality low price guitars is incredible and there's more amps at more affordable prices than ever before, plugins etc... yes there is bad stuff but I think we have never had such an incredible time to play and learn guitar and the sales reflect that. More guitars than ever are being sold and everyone is becoming really good.

So i would like to order a Warmoth boatneck for my T-style modern guitar. If i ordered one with no predrilled holes, could i then match it up to my guitar? Or are there additional neck pocket dimensions im likely to run into? Like the depth comes to mind. I suppose that could be dealt with, though. Obviously, I'd do my due diligence and measure before purchasing anything, but I'm curious if many other folks have ordered warmoth for non fenders... Or if that's a preposeterous notion

I’ve been hesitating because the HX Stomp has not been hardware (processors etc) updated for too many years. 9:08 the reason why the pickup selector is so close to the strings is because of Jason’s technique. He changes way to many times in between pickups and the coil tap and he’s technique is so damn perfect/precise that he wanted to have the pickup selector closer to avoid reaching all the way down. When I bought the guitar I loved everything except that, but the guitar itself made want to get better so I practiced and learned way more music theory and now the position of the pickup selector is also one of the things I love the most of the guitar because makes things so easy BUT it requires A LOT of practice and technique.
