Look man, I was there, right there with ya, 100% agreed. But then I found Limbus Company (and Library of Ruina.) Better soundtrack(s), sorry. Better writing too. PMD2 is still a masterpiece, it's way high up there. But best? Well... Limbus is free, so you can see for yourself. Like PMD2, Limbus has a bit of a slow start, the payoff all comes later. Not quite the end like PMD2, tho. If you can make it to the end of Canto 4, you should see what I mean, and it only gets better from there (except the Christmas side story.)

I enjoyed the game, but I wished that there was harder mode for ONYX (game only has opposite, easy mode) and that's saying as gamer who's kinda bad at puzzles. And I feel like I never really got handle on the movement, thank god for accessibility features on that front. In conclusion, story and ONYX sections were my favorite parts of the game.

I also bought this on Switch first but found the input and overall lag to be.... not great. Just a heads up for future players. PC and Switch was night and day difference. It was quite a contrast for me as I had played through Anodyne 2 on Switch with no major issues.

I hope one day developers start adding them into their own games, like Hitman can plop you into a randomized scenario with random objectives. Hell, adding some randomness in The Sims is fun to me, I randomize basically every choice I can make with Dice rolls.

Finally got around to it while making dinner today, and (while I proudly already knew everything on this list heehee hoohoo) I loved hearing your takes on all of the iceberg entries! Also: one dungeon move mechanic I feel isn't talked about enough is PERISH SONG! AAAA I HATE IT! It hits the entire floor (so they can hit you with it while not even being in the same room), and though it has low accuracy, unless you have Heal Seeds or Reviver Seeds, there's nothing you can do if you get hit. You're fainting in 3 turns. The Politoed in Destiny Tower have Perish Song up to Floor 99! I've had to put the game down out of sheer rage getting taken down by one of those suckers lol.

Also you have to understand that people are getting sick and tired of forced tutorials after they constantly keep appearing in modern games. Of course I do the tutorials to learn how the game works, but there are other people who just want to jump in. Back then, tutorials were optional with them showing up on the main menu.
