How do you like em? i trying to decide between these and the lacrosse trapline rubber ones
@J3Outdoorz14 күн бұрын
I have both, I like both. Lacrosse stand up on their own better and what I prefer for all day water trapping, especially when its cold out. The stone creek or dans I wear when bouncing in/out of water, land, etc and its warmer.

What waders are those Jeff?

Stone creek

Will these work on 1/2 rebar?
@J3OutdoorzАй бұрын
Only if you grind the ribs off... It's made for 1/2" smooth rod (steel or fiberglass)
@66bigbuds3 ай бұрын
But then you have to buy stakes.
@J3OutdoorzАй бұрын
that's correct

Why? What does it do? I understand using them for conibears. But I dont see the use on leghold traps.
@J3Outdoorz3 ай бұрын
It allows you to a) stabilize your trap at any height using a fiberglass rod (top edge sets, hut sets, baited sets, etc. etc.) b) stabilize your trap on any object by wiring it, screwing it, etc to said object c) stake via the stake swivel hole d) drowner setup with the built in drowner lock... j3o.com/hagz-bracket-1

Do you keep the rods white or do you paint them?
@J3Outdoorz6 ай бұрын
I paint mine. Some do, some don't ... I paint just to reduce visibility from humans, nothing to do with beaver.

Great video and informative, wish I had more areas like this around me in Vermont but hey 🤷🏻♂️ I been slamming nuisance beavers so can’t complain too much, we can’t touch or set on the huts here so a little tough finding areas like that here.

Just started using the HAGz bracket and clips this year attached to a 3/8" fiberglass rod. I would recommend them to anyone who plans to trap muskrats.

I’m in northern Minnesota. Big woods. Cable restraints will be the end of our snaring. I like to run 30-50 snares a day. Cable restraints with deep snow will not work
@J3Outdoorz8 ай бұрын
They’ll work, you just have to get over the learning curve. Right cable, right lock and right set location.

Best kind of rat trapping are these types of swails/drainage ditches . All walkable in hip waders. Maybe a few areas for colony traps. Awesome
