I really like the traditional fittings. I would love to know(maybe a video?)more about the different blade shapes. Were they different in different regions/countries? For different purposes? Different time periods? Different for commoners as opposed to military? As always, I love what you’re doing.

I like the traditional round handles! I'm really interested in your swords. I'm looking forward to placing an order sometime this year. I'd love to see fabrication videos... maybe short clips showing craftsman at work... I like that kinda thing... no need to divulge the secrets of the guild or anything...😊

which region of Burma is it from
@siameseedge7 ай бұрын
Honestly, we do not know. The design on the blade is common in region between Lanna and Burma and we choose to go with design that was quite generic and common.
@aunghtetpaing82355 ай бұрын
Mostly Central Myanmar (Burma)

@@siameseedge It is not common.Burmese Bird's Wing Sowrds have different characteristics . So much different from Thai swords and Lanna swords. You are showing the fake one. It is not a actual burmese sword.
@siameseedge12 күн бұрын
@@princeshein4341 We understand your thought. As this is a piece that inspire by Burmese Dha antique we work on while we retain the characteristic and handling similar to burmese Dha we tone some aspect to make it easier to handle for beginner. As original Burmese Dha are harder to handle if not by train person in our opinion. On the other side, locating and finding a good quality Dha from Myanmar is extremely hard nowaday. Cheer.

The different wrapings on the handle as an idicator is pretty smart. It would be interesting to hear if this method was used on european swords as well. Maybe Matt Easton will pick this topic up.
