I'm going to build similar for my camper bus, but I think I'll add white painted 3mm MDF board behind the rattan. The door will be painted white so a white background should look great. I'd already thought about rounding off the inside and outside edges, but I'll do that before assembling the doors, so the insides are rounded off all the way into the corners. 😁👍🏻

Sounds like a solid plan Paul. Good luck with it. 👍

Be careful guys I bought one months ago in Australia and it's always 2~4mm out. And Bosch says it's normal and acceptable. They even can't recalibrate it saying it is what it is. No precision with this tool and not the best customer service here in Australia. Maybe just mine? I don't know. I'll never buy Bosch's again anyway.

It's a shame that Bosh does not have an 18V trimmer/palm router! All competitors have cordless trimmers but Bosch does not. All of my cordless tools are Bosch therefore I do not want to invest Makita or other brands' chargers and batteries. Therefore I use Bosch corded router and wait for the 18V version...
@viking.designsАй бұрын
Couldn’t agree more. I ended up picking up a Milwaukee one. Bosch have actually added an 18v trimmer. I’ve seen it online but I don’t think it’s available in Australia just yet.
@MFG485Ай бұрын
You are right. Currently, Bosch has an 18V trim router, but it's a green "Home and Garden" model and does not compatible with the Professional 18V GBA or ProCORE batteries. I have also just found the new Bosch GLF 18V-8 PROFESSIONAL trim router on the Bosch Philippines website, but it's coming soon, not released yet. According to a Reddit user, it won't be released by October this year. Anyway, the GLF 18V-8 has the following excellent features and is worth waiting for. • Brushless motor • Variable speed up to 30,000 rpm • Constant speed function for stable cutting • Restart and drop protection • Easy to adjust cutting depth feature with the cog wheel and metal sleeve • 6 mm, 1/4'', 8 mm collet
@viking.designsАй бұрын
@MFG485 to be honest, it looks almost identical to the Milwaukee trimmer. Still excited to see how it goes

quick question, I am struggling to find the option that you can do full house/multiple room floor plans. does this laser measure do that? all reviews and bosch always illustrate single rooms. I am a heating designer and want a laser measure that can do this to avoid using another 3rd party app.

I know an aircon can be pricey for vans, and them evaporative ones are 💩but we brought a portable aircon unit for fraction of the cost, we made a cut out in our van for the unit airflow tube and brought vent hole 6inch vent hood cover cap off ebay. All portable aircon exhaust tubes are 6inchs in size. when it's not in use to cover your airflow hole on the outside of the van. You wouldn't even know. You can choose a cover cap with mosquito netting or without. We made some reno adjustments to hide tubing and make box look presentable. The unit also came with a clear finger width pvc tube for the water outlet about 1m long, we feed that tube to under kitchen bench where we have a 10L container for the water catch. We just empty it once in 24hrs or as need to. We also have a remote with it. Best decision we made. Total cost was about $300. ❤ Love your renovation by the way. Check out "High Ridge Handyman" on YT, titled "Portable aircon installation Easy 1,2,3" video. That's what I followed back then. Of course I've upgraded by then by you'll get the idea.

Problem with the MeasureOn thing, is it limited to a an empty floor/surface, you cant add other elements such as steps, pillars, different wall heights, etc... not all rooms or spaces are empty . The app is lacking so many things, thus not really useful. Pen and paper wins still

Bosch power tools have consistently demonstrated exceptional durability and reliability in my experience. Despite exposure to rain and mud, they have continued to function effectively. In contrast, I have heard unfavorable reports regarding Milwaukee drills, particularly concerning their chucks, gearboxes, triggers, and overall construction. Additionally, the Bosch product range available in the UK is more extensive, and Bosch batteries are compatible with Fein tools.

I want to use such a device with a plastic corner-cube reflector plate, which reflects THOUSANDS as much back in the direction of the emitter than a white paper-like surface. (See Lambertian reflector.) I want to measure 500, 1000, 2000 meters, with a resolution of 1 millineter . Problem is, I don't think the device will 'wait for' such a delayed reflection, even when it arrives late.
