I bought a new a new Hoty Turbotec in 2005. That was the worst bow I’ve ever owned. 60% let off Zero valley Short brace height That bow wanted to rip out of your hand. Fast forward 18 years. Now I’m shooting a Mathews V3X-29. Bows have came a very long way since those days.

You said it’s been a while since you shot your oldest bow. How long has that been? I have a 2010 Hoyt Tomahawk that I haven’t shot in about 7 years. Did you get yours checked out and inspected before shooting?
@AntlerAssassinTakovich Жыл бұрын
I inspect my own bows. But For this one I checked the Strings and limbs. Made sure there were no signs of cracking or failure. I do believe I changed a buss cable on that X-tec before I filmed this. But highly recommend inspection before shooting any time. Not only After sitting for about 6-7 years. If you don’t have a bow press or experience with inspection of your bow. Definitely drop it by your pro shop and have them give it a quick look. 🤘🏻🏹

That is a shame about the confusion with top 2 bucks. Awesome deer though. I grew up in East Lansing and hunted many of the counties down there. I live and hunt in Keweenaw County now and you sure don't see those kind of racks up here very often but there are some monsters running around up here. Thanks for the video I love seeing those downstate ag fed monsters!

That’s a bummer. These I believe help in keeping the hunting tradition alive! Nothing like a young kid or adult even coming to see big bucks. 2022 pole just went down last Friday and had over 115 entry’s. I’ll be posting the video tomorrow

Can't wait to see 2022s coverage, especially the #29 buck ?? Something fishy going on with the judges choice of 1st place..
@AntlerAssassinTakovich2 жыл бұрын
Yeah, there was definitely a hiccup in the end. Decision on who won first place, after discussing it with the staff unfortunately, it was not their fault, but the fault of the scorer. The way that the antlers overhung themselves seem to cause confusion on which bucks were which, and what numbers went to what antler set. Sounds like a problem that can be easily fixed in the future by having someone with the scorer at all times to make sure the right Deer is being scored. From what I understand number 29 was clearly not a winner as they took their deer, and left the event prior to a winner being announced. (probably to avoid looking silly as being called a winner with a deer that measured may be 100 inches total) I plan on dropping the video tomorrow and I will do a commentary on the information I was given on how things were scored and what exactly happened in the end.

None at all! I’ve heard a few people mention that issue. I have yet to see it with any of the ones I’ve shot not my own. Hoyt XTEC Alert along with anything that uses the TEC risers. The black plastic rocker arms. They ride on a bolt where limbs meet the riser. They need to be greased. Take the bow to a shop. Have the strings removed and pull the limbs from the riser. My rocker arms were shot and cracked. Just needed a replace and a bit of white lithium grease. They are TRIAX rocker arms. If you have the 60-70 bow you need the #6 rockers.

@jjmckay6man13 жыл бұрын
Sounds like you spend too much time worrying about what others do. MYOB. How them antlers taste anyways?
@jaedenlyons2 жыл бұрын
Surely not all of those bucks were shot on private land, that’s why people shoot them despite their rack size, it was their choice to shoot it. Though I do understand the passing on small bucks, I’ve done it and been successful, but that mostly ever works on privately owned land.
