Tasmania, an island being 'settled' by Europeans in 1803 has many old lighthouses with significant history.

Title “lighthouses at night” Proceeds to show 90% of them in daylight. 🤦♂️ Yes they are beautiful and all, but I wanted to actually see them at night.

This is the Needful Things lighthouse. It took me quite a few rabbit holes to find this out. Usually I can find this info out quite easy on the net but it's like this was meant to be hidden info or something.

Thanks for the video and I have been lucky enough to visit most - but not all - of those lighthouses. Definitely hard to choose 15 out of all the available ones and was intrigued at some of the towers that were - and weren't - included. Great work

Fresnel lens could always be converted to work as a pyrheliophor lens and project concentrated sunlight as a heat ray to burn ships or even sailors skin. Maybe this was the function of ancient lighthouses such as the one at Alexandria or the Colossus?

Hi there. I have now finally watched each and every video on this channel. I got held up a bit by my wife who started watching them with me, but she stopped at some point. I of course waited as long as I could, but to be honest, there is a limit to the patience of a true light house lover. Light houses are extremely addictive, and sooner or later you just need your fix. This has been an awesome journey, and I'm looking so much forward to continue it when the next video comes along. Can't thank you enough for your work. Stay amazing, and please keep the magic coming. All the best from Denmark.

My father RIP was a lighthouse keeper in Ireland. He was on many of these, including Skelligs and Fastnet Rock. I have a painting he did of The Fastnet. When a keeper was on a rock station, like Fastnet, then the family lived on shore. Where the lighthouse was on land then we lived in the dwelling houses.

Your father lived an amazing life by the sounds of it, that's fascinating 😊. Thank you for watching ❤

So cool that you have dedicated a channel entirely to lighthouses. I love lighthouses, and I'm gonna watch each and every video. Lighthouses aren't just towers with a light bulb. They are magic, and they always sooth your soul no matter if you stand right next to them, or watch the light from a distance. They are a source for dreams, mystery, and even on the most rotten day they will take you back to how you felt when hearing a fairy tale as a kid. It doesn't matter if they are big and impressive, or small sheds tucked away in local places - Lighthouses are Zen. Thank you so much for making this channel. All the best from Denmark.

I like that you use the term; "See in person". Light houses most certainly have soul and spirit, and should be addressed accordingly.
