Hi there...went to play Dirt Rally 2 on my H3 today and it does not move my rig....playing MSFS2020 and Assetto Corsa just fine, just DR2 does not move the H3....and clues would be much appreciated

At 51:30 you add the final support for the base of the chair frame. Is there a reason why it must go above the bar rather than underneath the bar as in the H3 build. It just gets in the way of the chair slider and also rubs against my calves when I'm using extreme left/right rudder

I’m planning to get a P6 in June next year. Quick question. I might be interpreting this wrong, but is this for the P6 or H6. Because they are both 6DOF motion platforms. Thanks

I also would like to know how you calibrated it. I have new motors coming soon. Is the cogging gone completely eliminated on your platform now?

@@MichaelParker-fz6ng for me it’s gone. But it is very subjective, in some module I still sense maybe some minor stepping. hard to tell if it is the motor or the buttkicker or some effect from SRS…but definitely not the immersion breaking cog as before. Worth the upgrade in my book.

@@shi4stone Thanks. Now regarding the neutral position, I have a theory. The control box only receives position feedback from the motor, it can only move the SFU precisely if the SFU is correctly aligned to the motor. If you rotated the ball screw after removing the motor, you have now misaligned the SFU. The control box won't be able to detect this, so you have to realign them manually by turning the ball screw back to the neutral position while the motor is disconnected from it. I'm assuming the motor is in its neutral position from the factory, otherwise it will have to be aligned too before connecting to the SFU (by powering up the motor while it's disconnected from the kardan). I would re-watch the video and note the position of the SFU (maybe by counting the number of threads on the screw in between the motor and SFU). The technician in the video only had to realign the motor and screw slightly, but he never rotated the screw a large amount after he removed the motor. Let me know what you think because I misaligned my SFU and will probably have the same issue.

@@MichaelParker-fz6ng it’s actually much simpler than that. DOF has since added the instruction in the video link for firmware updates which then makes the new motor self calibration properly. Been flying for a week in butter now.

Would’ve been really nice if the screws were included to mount the Honeycomb plates, and possibly a single sheet of paper with the instructions on how to attach it, or perhaps a link to this video on the instructions page?

upgrading the rear movement to SFU, where do I mount the arm post? Originally with old motors was on other side.

@@MDsports10 Original site gets hits by the left motor. Im actually just about to figure this out. think if I calibrate the back arm and then let it center, i'll know where I need to place the arm post. There is zero video on this. I plan to make one.

yes, this was done on purpose so that you could see the speed of the platform’s response to braking and gear shifting. Soon there will be a video with the optimal settings for us

I own a Dof reality H2 and I will welcome you into my home if you believe you can set it up any better than what I have ( you just cannot smooth out the jerkiness and I have the new gearbox also) it's not that it's a bad motion platform it's just not there for flight simming @@radioproffi

Hardware is good but I cannot buy one while the software is so primitive. See video "How Flight Simulators Fool Your Brain" for a proper implementation of the software for this rig.

My unit worked perfectly fine until i reformatted my pc. 11 hrs later im at the point where the rig moves balances and is sending telemetry data to games. With no help from useless Dof support god they need an overhaul anyway the only way my rig works now is everytime i turn on the rig itself i have to load up dofreality tools.zip and force the firmware update. What a pain but it does balance and run after this caliberation

yeah i need to agree, this item is not good especally for a keyboard. i mean technically it can hold a keybboard, but try to use and it falls apart. This is literally a re-purposed iphone holder. Come on DOF you make great things, you dont need to pedel this cheap crap, people here are spending 1000s this is just borderline insulting. Either get some good or dont offer it. Love my rig though!!!

I am about to decide if i buy this rig or not. I wish to use it with MSFS. But i am concerned about this issue people talk about, regarding "judder, or stepping" sensation when banking slowly. Has this been addressed as of yet?

I originally purchased my DOF Reality H3 for VR flight simulation, but find that the stepping really ruins the immersion. It's fine for sim racing though, as the jolting movements are what you would expect in that scenario.
