Do/Did you have slop from the tie-rod area? And what was your fix?
@rotationnationRC9 күн бұрын
There is a small amount of slop there. The upgraded uprights took some of it out. It’s coming from the balls on the knuckles but it’s so slight. I was able to eliminate the lateral slop on the wheel with a thin shim. Surprised at how little slop the steering has stock.

This transmitter is the first and only one (so far), that I have bought. Until now just used the rtr radio. It seems like a great value, and has more then enough features to keep me busy reading and watching info. Thanks for the video, I am switching my kagama to this set up, and I have already killed a servo in it, so I hope to extend the life of it by taking every precaution possible.

I recently purchased the Kyosho Fazer Datsun 240Z as it was on sale, it looks fantastic and has more pep than my Tamiya TT-02's, shame they aren't a build kit like Tamiya. I was so impressed with it a few days later I ordered the Datsun 240 R rally version, it arrived a couple of days ago, looks even better and although I haven't run it yet, the videos I've seen show a great looking car that performs also. Kyosho are great value for money, and probably the best looking cars out there, thoroughly recommend them and you should give them a look, their classic Japanese bodies ( and others) are something else, and adding the light kit to them just tops off the package.
@rotationnationRCАй бұрын
The Fazer is indeed great value for the money, elsewhere on my channel I did a series of hop up videos including ball diffs. I have a couple more fazer videos coming including how I got it to really hook up and a full on retro muscle car look coming too. Thanks for thr comment and I’m going to look up that rally body now

Hello....great videos. Questions I have ....are you still using the black medium sway bars front and rear and have you done anything to the shocks ?? Different oil / springs / different shock position from stock ??
@rotationnationRCАй бұрын
I kept the shock positions stock and went down in size with the spacers and bar size in the rear. I woke the car up. Basically I dialed in thr diffs with the chassis stiff then loosened up the rear and the thing absolutely rips. Video coming about that process I just don’t know when because life has been crazy

Loosen your rear diff and thicken up the front. Softer spring in the rear and stiffer springs in the front. This will help the rear rotate and the front push and make it easier to drive. Also good tires...

@FoxRacingGaming7 ай бұрын
@@rotationnationRC Anytime bud! I bought one of those 11$ stands to put them on so you can work on them, but its all wobbly, the rotation isnt the greatest, and my trx4 has the lift kit, so it doesnt sit quite flat on the stand XD. Question though, do you think with a 1 inch lift kit, and 5 inch tires, the stands would be tall enough for the tires to clear the ground? I still have the stock traxxas tires on, but plan to upgrade to 2.2 / 5 inch diameter beadlocks soon. I'd hate to get the stands only for them to be too short.
@rotationnationRC7 ай бұрын
@FoxRacingGaming those are big tires and sounds like a nice set up. I just measured the stands and they’re 4.25” so if your tires are 5” that puts your axle at 2.5” so I think they’ll work

The apex2 needs upgrades out the box like bearings and sway bars but will perform better than the kyosho fazer ever could once fully upgraded.

Nice videos, they have been very helpful with my own Fazer MK2 build. How much have you tightened the differential and how long before the balls begin to deform from migration of grease?
@rotationnationRC8 ай бұрын
Hello and good to hear these have been helpful. It took me time to get it dialed it and the way I did it was to run too tight of spring spacers front and rear then dial in the diffs. Once you feel you have it under control or close to dial in start removing the spring spacers and you’ll be amazed. I’ve had any deformation but that’s a great point to be aware of

I did this years ago as a kid, before brushless motors. My friend built a drag car and crashed it into a parking block. I bought his dragworks motor for my lunchbox. I had to tape D batteries behind the front crashbar, to keep the front end down so i could steer😂 I might have to get another one. Thank you for this!
@rotationnationRC10 ай бұрын
I was 14 when I saved enough to buy and build the lunch box. That was a simpler time and why I still love working on these cars. Adding a drag motor with D batteries up front is legendary 😂 the motor esc combo was pretty cheap in my build. Hopefully you end up with the time to acquire build and run another one. Thanks for the good vibes!
