As one who uses pipe elevators daily I think you should rethink having that die piece involved. One slip and we're do you think it is going to go? Gravity will rule,right down the hole and jam everything up.

Waterwell pump pipe has electric cable taped to it plus centering devices to come up thru there.

i dont like that it dropped to bottom of the well lmao the peace you drilled out lol how come you dont use a normal drill bit?

Does the well casing that got drilled out fall into the well? Or do you do something to catch it? Your demo shows the drill area at the top of the well casing. What about if it is 6-10 feet below the top for areas like Minnesota where the plumbing is so far below the surface?

The slug will sometimes fall in and go to the bottom of the well, but this is no different than blowing slag into the well with a torch to cut the hole. The interior of the casing is steel so there is no effect on water quality or pumping capacity. This was set up as a demonstration and would normally be done in a excavation. Pitless adapters are mostly used in regions where there is the need to exit the well underground to prevent frozen pipes.

@@rustywellwater9913 In order to tie in the water piping to the pitless adapter, and if it is 6-10 feet below ground level, is there still need to excavate and dig a trench that deep between the pitless adapter and the destination of the water supply ?

@@ilovemywifemost you are correct, and as stated in my reply this process would take place in a excavation. The Hole Hog is just a tool to make the job of drilling the hole quicker and easier. The set up of this demonstration was in the shop to make filming it easier.

If the part of the pitiless adaptor that the drop pipe connect to , is a satal and a pipe screws in to the top to remove , wouldnt the part that goes through casing fall out of the satle? ...sory about spelling
