Hey man, I also have a 1st gen iPad with the exact same battery issue, since I don't have any skill in repairing tech, I'm wondering if there's any other way to fix it, like I've heard of the blow dryer method but does that even work?

omg is this really techpal!?!? you can jumpstart the battery by straight up charging the battery from the terminals, but it still requires disassembling the ipad. The hairdryer method didn’t work for me because the battery is so bloated.

@@Norieu yup it is really techpal hehe :) yeah I've tried that hair dryer method so many times yet it never worked, I've tried getting it to a repair shop but as soon as they see how old it is, they don't even bother repairing it, so it's pretty much a lost cause...

It’s pretty easy to open up 1st gen ipad tho, as there’s no glue holding the screen. and a new battery is quite cheap too!

@@Norieu Yeah it's way easier than a dumb iPad 2, I had one that's activation locked, and when I tried the hardware bypass method (again I have *NO* experience repairing tech), I broke the entire screen and now it's in my shelf, I don't even have proper material for repairs, that's why I used a knife

ipad 1 is easy to open with a knife, it will only need prying. Just be careful not to hurt yourself tho
