I have the original Ultra Studio Mini Recorder (not 3G) and it has a mini display port connection with a Thunderbolt symbol. What's up with that? My PC has a thunderbolt (USB-C) and a Display port connection. I can't get it to show up in the Desktop video app.

I came across this post from searching, since I own 3 of the Lumenators - I guess I was one of the lucky ones that actually did receive them... years ago now as I see this is quite old - Shame on this guy! - if I took someones money and never delivered a product, they would get a refund AT LEAST - but they are decent LEDs and the color discs are nice... Im assuming that ColorRight is no longer in business? - esp when you can buy paddle lights for 1/2 the price now that have everything built into the light.

How do you "lock" a caller to an input? We noticed that when you have a group of callers and one drops off or jumps into the meeting, the input order changes and messes up the composition?

Has anyone recorded synths with this unit? Would I set it to mic/line or guitar for the input? Also, say i record 8 songs for an album. How do i make sure they're all mixed and mastered at the same level? Like when i want to make an album, how do i check to see if all the songs are the same and not have some that are louder than others? I'm very new to recording, so i appreciate any help.

I cant afford to buy the cam without being sure I can trigger the record mode. It would be very nice of you since you own a couple of them. So, no need to activate the 2x extender to cover the focal plan of the camera ? What about chromatic aberrations and softness ? Are you happy with the outcome ? Do you lose any f/stop ? Thank you again Sandy.

Not just you, but for some reason (I am clueless why) reviews about switchers (just about all) never mention how much NOISE (cooling fan sound) the unit makes. Can or cannot be within ?x feet of microphones?
@Sandyaudiovisual
@Sandyaudiovisual 2 жыл бұрын
I have a good idea. Most modern and high powered switching equipment generates a lot of heat. That heat needs to be dissipated so manufacturers use fans. Fans have to be large and turn slowly to reduce noise. Large fans don’t fit into pretty little cases. Some designs incorporate passive air flows and use heat sinks. Most computer based switchers with anything more powerful than an Arduino doing the math can’t afford to do that and work reliably. Sometimes design is out before function and the professional utility of a device is compromised. The best thing to do is not have your noise maker close to your sound gatherer or out your noise gatherer in a quiet box.

@@Sandyaudiovisual greetings sandy audio visual thanks for your concern, you have an atem studio hd imagine that you have never had problems and you have several years with it and suddenly it is damaged and the warranty passed where you bought it, blackmagie has to have a repair center for it give technical support to those people like me who had a mishap with that device. no blackmagie does not provide those services they come out with a lot of nonsense saying that the guarantee is over and they do not selen from that guarantee circle. There must be a repair center and that they charge the dollars they want and provide the service. They do not provide any service when one of those devices is damaged, I will see you thinking the same as me, my brother. Thank you for everything and your concern for my atem studio hd. I am from Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic and here when a device is damaged we repair it and pay for the service. Contrary to the United States, people buy and if it damages they throw it away and buy another. we can't do that. brother thanks for your attention....

Quick Advice! Don't EVER use a power source that might not be compatible. It will screw it up and ou'll never be able to turn it back on ever again unless you're a tech guy who can fix it. I just fk'd mine up by trying a different power source and now it won't turn on. I'm so fkn pissed off and wanted to let people know that this is a sensitive machine

I use this unit for band practice only, and my trusty Shure SM58 analog unit for shows. It never cuts out and has great range. My guitar player had a guitar Line 6 wireless unit using 2.4G and he had drop outs all the time. I told him to buy an analog Shure and rarely ever gets a drop out. Just way to much interference using digital these days with every club running a WiFi router and wireless phones also. The moral to this story is go Analog and forget the digital wireless units.

I have no idea what your specific experience is with 2.4GHz or related digital wireless, tech is, but we support a lot of bands and other performers through my studios and media labs, and the top three systems of some of the largest pro bands are Sennheiser, Audio Limited and Line 6. This includes many of the most successful recording artists and chart toppers. They tend to use whatever has worked for them in the past and stay with it, and the V50 and V75 are very, very popular. You notice them in many of the televised and YT performances. You are obviously correct about fences, which tend to drop 2.4 GHz by about 2-5 dB of RF gain via reflection of about half it's energy, but to a large degree that is mitigated to within about <2 dB of total effective gain by multi-frequency systems like these-- even before any fancy baseband mitigation techniques. However, some 2.4 GHz wireless systems of various types are worse (to much worse) than others. In any case though, due to in-band reflection and/or interference, you will sacrifice some range and have more variability at the limits. Most recently, I can tell you that a well-known performer did a large outdoor event in AZ this summer with a few high chain link sections behind the amphitheater stage area. However, even roughly 75 yards in the truck behind the the stage area, the Line 6 and the A10's both worked fine at their respective frequencies. The MHz systems have different performance and interference issues, as they all do, which are dependent on both frequency and baseband-RF architecture. Some still won't use digital, often based on a single bad experience (e.g. A10, SH, L6, etc), and opt for pure analog still. But hey, whatever works for you, as most people have at least one bad experience with a given wireless brand or tech, and often swear off them from then on. However, saying that you "don't want to use a L6" because it is" 2.4 GHz or is digital or whatever..., is just advice that is contrary to the extensive experience of many of the biggest, most successful long-time performers and their crews-- often who left their prior MHz, analog or GHz tech for one that works better for them, based on their specific needs.

I launch the livestream software we use here and with nothing playing im getting a static feedback buzzing type noise on the software. I check the audio going into the ATEM and it's showing no sound is going through (-infinity db) , but for some reason I'm still getting a slight buzzing sound on the computer. I can over compensate and play our audio much louder then the static, I just don't know what to do to get rid of it.
