@@Dollywoodexpress192 I've seen your request, I'm just not sure how to integrate it into a video. #14 is tucked away in the old bay 3, which has no interior lights and no good natural lighting either. Due to the scale of #14, only the smokebox and front platform are really visible. I'm keeping your request in mind moving forward however!

Considering they can just drive over to change tracks, I'd say so. If they were moving more then a car at a time I assume they would need more power

@@Alcofoamer Build date of 1959, it's more Vietnam era. I hear that #112 is a little rough with 6 coaches on the southbound Curriers grade so they prefer to use #113.

@@CptnRetro I was wondering why they don't use 112, when it's an actual World War II veteran.

@@Alcofoamer I would prefer that myself but I believe it has something to do with it having an overheating issue when it's got a full set behind it. Maybe in the future we'll see it receive a rehab and start pulling excursions on the regular, seeing as it's more the classic GE Centercab look and fits the vintage aesthetic of the line.

I've always seen folks recording down this portion, I've only recently started venturing down to the main industrial section. A worker came up to me today and said that they're fine with folks recording around there as long as you pay attention to surroundings, don't block roadways, etc. I don't know offhand about tours persay but you can always reach out to them via their Facebook page.

With #18 returning to service soon we'll have to wait till the cold season to see #112 and #113 hauling again. I'm catchin' a few small departures here and there in the meantime with the 'Cab in the lead that's been hauling for the railroad since 2017

@@Dollywoodexpress192 That would be hard to say. The RS3 is in well working order and is rated for much more then what A&A moves, so I'd think freight will be covered for the foreseeable future. I think we are looking at a period where the A&A can focus on maintaining what it currently possesses, with #18 set to return to service and the cabs only being used really for winter passenger trains. So long as business is good and the passengers keep providing revenue, that's where the possibilities of restoring #14 or #111 begin, albeit those be pretty small possibilities for the immediate future with everything else going on. I know once 18 returns to service they are going right back to working on installing the rest of that new siding at Reisdorfs, should be a full runaround as opposed to just a one way siding. TLDR, I'd sooner think they begin reinvesting into what they already have as opposed to buying anything else new.

​@CptnRetro yes I talked to one of the people at the A and A, he said it would cost 1.5 mil to restore the 14. Sadly

@@Dollywoodexpress192 It's not impossible, but certainly would take some substantial financial backing. And bear in mind as well, with #18 back in steam you would have to spend additional money to restore that Gettysburg tender so that you could have two tenders in service together. I do not know offhand if any modifications were done to 14's original drawbar to make it line up with 18. I think the best strategy there would be to have #18 and #14 swap service as per they each go down for overhauls/inspections. Getting #14 to that point though, that's the rough part. I also mentioned to someone that perhaps #14 should be turned into oil fired to accommodate the recent coal issues society has been griping about.

From my understanding the railroad has been interested in parting with it, due to vandalism it's quite a bit of a project to tackle, kinda a hazard for riders currently and they have their hands full with what they already have going on. I do not know if they already have a buyer lined up or not.

Hopefully it will ready by next season, hard to know for sure!

Management made a public comment on Facebook today. 4-5 weeks if everything goes as planned!

If memory serves, they arrived at 9:38 a.m. (which is the earliest I've ever seen them) and wrapped up just about noon. Normally they show up at 11:30 and are leaving around 1:30 to 2

Likely a subsidy owned by Genesee and Wyoming, they own a ton of different short lines and most locos have the g&w corporate colors.

So currently as we speak the A&A shop crew have taking several days of every week to put the engine back together. I can't give any concrete dates, but all the pieces are in Arcade. The Boiler, Running gear, and cab are all back together. Right now it's a matter of all the small bits. If you want more frequent updates, I suggest joining the "Fans of the Arcade & Attica" Facebook group, but if you don't have Facebook then you can be sure I'll be posting when it is officially back together!
