Many years ago, I met Jason while he was hitting balls at a Texas driving range. We struck up a conversation and he said his body was suffering greatly from both steroids and how hard he swung the club. He has stress fractures in many bones purely from the force of his swing. That's a high price to pay for hitting a golf ball a long way. I hope he's doing okay these days.

What about with fairway woods or driver?

Fairway woods: when hit off the ground the there will be shaft lean. Driver: Ball position off a tee should be more to the forward side and therefore shaft lean is different. However learning this move will contribute to better ball striking overall.

It to help get your rotation in sequence. You want everything to follow the hips so pausing then rotating hips helps that. But its assuming you have most other aspects of you swing down. This tip is just for sequencing your hips.

Except he backswings with his arm almost 90 degrees up towards the sky while you don't even go up over your shoulder.

yes... I have a shoulder injury preventing a longer backswing. Also, I do not have his flexiblity and athletisism. We all have to work with what we have.

I’ve been using the single plan swing method for 2 months now and I’m hitting g the ball better than ever. It’s easier on my back and i have better control of direction.

deep grass does 2 things(btw, this applies to pitching, too): 1)rolls face over 10 degrees, closes it, causes a hook 2)catches the club, absorbs much of the energy , so ball goes SHORT so, it hooks and goes short. Solution:open face 10 degrees at address, use 1 more club. Some say swing more vertical, by playing farther back in stance.

He said it because it is correct! A steeper angle of approach to avoid getting more of the deep grass stuck between your club and the ball.
