"give us a thumbs up if it helped" Thumbs Down. Your suggestions display toolBars, not individual grayed out Tools. In addition you run through information too quickly and add annoying music in place of carefully considered narrative. For the makers of Solidworks, no thumbs up, one middle finger up for moving menu items with every Supposed upgrade.

0:30 the "diagram" for each different selection is STUPID. No wonder many SW users shut off the selection manager for picking entities. Should be called Entity Selection Mgr. However, for sweeps/lofts/boundary the "selection manager" is different and is very critical.

Does anyone know how to enable middle mouse rotation? It use to work, I assigned a new feature to the middle mouse click through dell application not thinking about loosing this feature in soldiworks. Now I can't figure out how to reassigned the feature.

Dobbelt click slowly on a feature in the featuremanager - will give the option to rename it.

Another example of why this program needs to be taken over by users instead of programmers who think they know what we want. Anyone doing development work will frequently need a model in RollBack state and this idiotic function requires me to roll to an undesired position in the tree, insert it, then re-roll it back so I can see what I was looking for in the first place.

Så er jeg lidt nysgerrig på os der idag automatisk generer eDrawing sammen med 2D tegnigner til brug i vores produktion. Kan denne nye type fil gøre det samme, og er der nye features til at lave montage filer, hvor fx en assembly configuration kan vælges, eller et exploded view fra assembly kan bruges.

Den fil/information vi deler er et "øjebliksbillede" af en part configuration eller assembly configuration - Filen er derfor ikke i stand til at behandle et "SOLIDWORKS Exploded View", og vi har ikke muligheden for at predefinere hvordan Explode viewet skal folde sig ud. Ligeså kan vi heller ikke vise flere forskellige configurations via samme fil - vi har selvfølgelig mulighed for at dele flere configurations fra samme fil, dog i forskellige filer. Er jeres produktion in-house eller ekstern?

@@stokkebro vi er inhouse. så man fjerner muligheden for at en produktionsvirksomhed kan vise 3D filer i deres produktion? Det virker helt tosset, vi ville ønske vi kunne undgå at lave 2d tegninger på montage delen, og man kunne lave en light version af en explodet view og går og fifler med hvordan. Og nu ser det så ud til at det hele skal vendes på hovedet og kun please kunder ved at kunne sparre med dem.?

@@SaraHansen-i8t Jeg tror vi snakker forbi hinanden, muligheden for at en produktionsvirksomhed kan vise 3D filer i deres produktion er bestemt ikke fjernet - 3DXML filen som nævnt i videoen er dog mest ideel til ekstern deling og ikke til at indgå i et decideret produktionsmiljø - Særligt fordi denne fil er totalt separeret fra vores live produktionsmiljø (datamæssigt). Dermed ikke sagt at der ikke findes en løsning til det du beskriver. Det er bestemt muligt at opnå, og langt mere hensigtsmæssigt, ved brug af andre funktioner via 3DEXPERIENCE. Hvis interessen er der skal du være meget velkommen til at give os et kald en af dagene, så kan vi tage en mere effektiv snak om hvad der kunne give mening for jer ☺

This is not what the title says. You didn't rotate the sketch view, but Solidworks did it, automatically. And I don't like it because I want to edit that sketch in a different orientation, X axis points vertically up, Y axis points points horizontally left. So this is not good, because it was not manually rotated

You can use Alt+arrows to rotate it manually, but that's extremely inconvenient as it resets the rotation when you leave a sketch.

@@aleks-ivanov Hi Aleks, thank you so much for the tip. It works. I don't understand why would it be extremely inconvenient, i's not, it takes few seconds. Do you know by any chance how can I control the center of the rotation. It's not the Origin. But it works anyway, thaaaanks !!!!

@@telelaci2 you can't afaik. By "inconvenient" I mean that you can't set the rotation globally, after changing the view you have to perform the same actions again to fix the rotation. Unlike KOMPAS, SolidWorks doesn't take into account your screen and resets the view rotation each time.

Quickest way to narrow down I have found is suppress half your assembly. Then check to see if it works. If it works the culprit is in the suppressed half, if not it's in the unsuppressed. Keep halving until you home in on it. Faster than going part by part. Pigs will fly before SW fixes this.
