I´m getting baptized on 29 Sep 2024 before its too late.

Thank you. I don’t belong to any congregation I need to find someone where or someone to baptize me.

To clarify some comments so that new believers are not confused. Baptizmo in the Greek means to immerse. Some of the earlier Christian instructions on baptism was to fully immerse when able, but if not then pouring water over the head was acceptable. Maybe the Bible doesn’t specifically say that people went under the water, but it does say that Jesus was baptized (Greek: Baptistheis: dip, submerge) and “went up” (Greek anebe: to rise, spring up) from the water (Matthew 3:16). There is no God of water, and Christians don’t believe that. Baptism was being practiced long before Christ came to earth, and the Christians adopted it because Jesus himself was baptized as a Jew. Romans 6 compares baptism to a burial. Is baptism part of being born again? Well, in Acts 2 Peter says, Believe, Repent, Be Baptized and Receive the Holy Spirit. Belief is what saves us, but the act of baptism is a powerful external witness of what Christ is doing internally in your life. If I put my faith in Christ and then get hit by a truck, am I still going to heaven, yes. As far as the Hindus are concerned. The story was about Indian Christians that were wanting to be baptized in a drought. The Hindus have baptized for thousands of years for their own purposes. Baptism isn’t exclusive to Christianity, but it doesn’t mean it isn’t a powerful, wonderful part of the Christian experience.

I have been a born again Christian for over 30 years, i was only baptized as a catholic, i want a water baptism desperately for Jesus, there is no where i can go to do this, i live in Massachusetts. We are vacationing in new hampshire for a week, and there is a water source, i want to re dedicate my life to christ and do this myself, not sure if its acceptable

Well, your example of the absurd ritual of Hindi's digging a hole and pouring water on someone and placing a sheet over them to symbolize burial, is pure heathenism and not Christian or baptism.

Baptism does not represent being buried. It is not like Jesus being buried and then raise up, for Jesus was never buried under anything to come up from anything! Jesus was laid in a tomb, not buried under the ground as you wrongfully suggest that water baptism represents.

Romans six says nothing about water baptism. There is not one drop of water in Romans six, alone enough to immerse someone.

Baptism is NOT part of being Born-Again!

Baptism is not about going under the water! No one in all of Scripture is it said that they went under the water in baptism.

The water god will not cleanse you of your sins. How stupid to believe that water cleanses from sin!

I have a question.. Could I get baptized whilst still vaping and smoking? I regret to say it’s a sin of mine- I want to have more faith, I want to be exposed to the love and I want to be clean for the Lord, Does this have certain steps? Must I goto church for a while and repent then get baptized?. What’s the best way to go about this. Keep in mind i’m addicted so I can’t just quit, I need the Lord for this I believe so I’m just questioning how I go about this. I also haven’t been to church other than a couple times as a kid with a cousin. I’m very nervous and quite scared honestly. Really anything could help me, so thank you for the words in advance. One reason and one reason only you dont need to be baptized to be saved or go to heaven. It would make Jesus's sacrifce impossibly conditional. it impossible for some people who believe in God to get baptized before they die. Why would God not let a person go to heaven just because they weren't baptized? Why would God tell one of his children whom believed in him wholy that he can't make it because he didn't perform in a ritual that acknowledges the consiemce of God? He wouldn't. Because if he did that wouldn't be a loving God. Thats also taking powe and aithority away from God. 1 peter 3:21 This video is not the love of God, it's the love and condition of man. Stop spreading your own gospel.

I started going to church after so long and I really enjoy being part of the community and reading the Bible. I asked the priest and he told me that I can get baptized in about 12 weeks time so I'm happy to hear that Enough of "I'm a Christian but don't go to church" that's just nonsense and I regret that. Furthermore, I met a Christian girl on a dating website so she too helped giving me that push that I needed. My life is changing for the better by having become a churchgoer and because of her, we've been sharing photos and info about ourselves when I see her in person I'll probably cry. I waited so long for a woman like her and she's pretty unique that I'll do whatever I have to make her happy and our kids. She's essentially the painter in my life now.
