Any frog & frog rod recommendations? I started throwing top water because of watching you and I’m getting tons of blow ups but can’t get a hook set. Waiting a few seconds after the blow up too. I think my frog must be ugly lol
@Get5Bass_Arkansas
@Get5Bass_Arkansas 2 ай бұрын
Yeah, I've really been throwing two frogs. The Spro Poppin Frog 60 and the Toad Thumper Swamper Walkin' Frog. As far as rods go, I throw a 7'0 MH Denali Attax for the poppin frog and a 7'3 H Denali Lithium Frog rod for the walkin frog. Both rods have a good tip for casting accuracy. One key to frog fishing is to throw braid. I throw 50 pound Sunline FX2 Braid. Another key for me is to slightly bend the hooks up to get them away from the frogs body.

I'm sorry people can fish however they want but it just bothers me when people turn their drag all the way up and just hammer down on the fish. just loosen the drag and actually fight the fish. At least that way even if you lose the fish you still had fun fighting him.
@Encrusteddead
@Encrusteddead 2 ай бұрын
Your hook won’t set unless you have your drag set, and if it’s set right your drag won’t pull unless it’s a big fish. As you can see in the video the man caught a 2-3 pounder, are you expecting screaming drag??? Turning your drag all the way down to make it feel like your reeling in a giant is something you do for your kids dude.
@stonergeek9792
@stonergeek9792 2 ай бұрын
@@Encrusteddead no the drag should be set to the most common size fish in the waters and in most cases 2-3 pounds is the most common size. You're supposed to were the fish out not just rip it out of the water. And besides I said people can fish however they want. So if you want to just yank the fish out by all means go ahead. I'm just pointing out that it's rough on the fish and can do more damage to the fish doing it that way. And besides like I said the fight is half the fun. I'm not sorry I offended you but I am sorry that you felt like you had to be offended.
