Mr Heater products are garbage 🗑️ Disposable crap that is very expensive. Stay away
@jameshelm13712 күн бұрын
Electric heat is 100% efficient. 1500 watts is 1500 watts regardless of the crap that's on them. They put out the same heat, buy the cheapest one with a fan, and save your money.

Unfortunately, this is one of many FAKE AI "review" videos. They are just computer generated to get you to view and hopefully for them, purchase through one of their included links. They get an affiliate fee and they don't care whatsoever about ranking the different heaters. It's almost difficult to even find a real review video these days. The vast majority are just link farms disguised as product reviews. 🤬

Thanks for the good video! One point - on the 2nd one you relay the efficiency as 100% as if that was a unique feature of that heater. All of the heaters on your review are 100% efficient- that's the nature of electric resistance heaters - whether convective or radiant. The effectiveness of delivery of that 100% converted electricity does vary by heater and depends on the room it's in. Also at the 5:30 mark you say "KWs per Hour" - there is no such unit. KWs are an instantaneous measure of power.. If you use 4 KWs of power for one hour you would have used 4 KW-Hours (both in numerator) of energy. You could use 2 KWs of Power for 2 Hours and also have 4 KW-Hours. KW-Hours (KWH) is a measure of Energy - KW is a measure of power. Thanks again for the vid!
@JeffClearwater10 күн бұрын
Also you feature the BreezeHeat (my fav) - all of the pics are of the 1500 Watt model but then you say it uses 800 watts - there do have a 800 watt but that unit is much smaller than the one in the vids.

Most electrical outlets in the USA are 15amp. Thats why every electric heater will say 1500watts. OR 5250BTU. Thats all you can get out of the wall. Unless you are lucky like me, my garage is wired for 20amp for table saw, grinder & other power equipment. I can get 2400watts out of my outlets SO, I could run 2 heaters but both have to be kept off full temp. each is limited to 1200watts, like, 3/4 throttle otherwise the breaker will pop. What could be done : plug in an extension to your 240volt outlet. This outlet has 120volt/50amp & 120volt/50amp. Build a custom electric box and in the box separate the 2 120volt lines into 1 120volt/30amp outlet. NOW, you would have 3500watts out of the outlet enough to run 2 1500watt heaters out in your greenhouse. !

Electric heaters don't dry the air. The cold air outside the home doesn't hold that much moisture, so the humidity gets drawn outside the home leaving the air dry. Electric heaters also don't burn anything so they don't deplete oxygen. Unvented gas heaters/stoves do produce moisture as a byproduct of the combustion process, but they also deplete oxygen in the combustion process. Vented fuel heat like furnaces, fireplaces, and stoves in good, operational condition will draw in dry, but more oxygen rich air from the outside as it gets drawn up and out the chimney or flue. Newer stoves and furnaces may directly draw in air from the outside so the indoor air should have similar humidity and oxygen characteristics to that of electric heat.

I’m trying to decide between a quartz or an oil filled radiator style, which would you suggest?
@aarone900010 ай бұрын
Why in the L; don't you build an oil radiator style heater that has as its heat source induction technology????? BTW that is a million dollar idea!!

I have a nice old, no longer available, DeLonghi EW750L 1500 watt heater. I got it free. They sold them in the mid 2000s as that is when I see Amazon reviews for them. It works great. Please remember the more the digital gadgetry then the more can go wrong. Stick with more basic DeLonghis if possible.

I have a sun room that does not have the central heat and air connected to it. I think it would cost more to have that done than to just get a decent heater that can warm that room.
@joewatson326110 ай бұрын
@@chrissampson7569 What’s a decent heater, it’s all based on watts not looks, all I can say is stay the hell away from any heaters that’s 1500 watts or more and the one you pic don’t run it 24/7 or your going to get shocking bills like I did.

I want one so bad for my apartment. But I read something about these needing a dedicated breaker. Do I just plug it in a outlet that nothing else is plugged into? Not knowledgeable on this.
@HomerVista Жыл бұрын
It depends... it will draw a lot of current on it's own on high, so you can't run a microwave or toaster over at the same time on the same circuit. On low, you should be ok. Test things so you know what works and what doesn't. NEVER use it with a cheap extension cord or power strip!
