Excellent overview of security measures that should be in place in any major organisation. The numbers however do not lie and show that many of them are not on top of this, don't have the right mindset or ownership within the organisation. As an engineer it often seems useless to battle this, until something hits the fan. I am curious how to generate more awareness and especially ownership within such organisations. There seems to be a lot of psychology behind it.

Let me guess, like VMware, licensing costs are going to skyrocket. Netbackup is dated beyond belief. It never changes. Not even lipstick on that pig. That thing needs to be sunset and replaced.

So if you fail your file system say Isilon over to Cohesity, is it maintaining all of the proper permissions? More importantly....this this a read only copy or a Read/write copy? If this is read/write, what happens when users, add, change, and, delete files from the now mounted file system on Cohesity? How do you ensure those changes reflect back on the source file system when you want to fail back?
