The removal of the top mechanism is always shown so quickly in these videos. Loads of time spent showing how to unscrew screws but for me the part that needs time is the removing of the top mechanism especially on a skylight.

Same from Germany. many thanks, very much apreciated. Saved me lots of time and, of course, money. All parts easily ordered at Velux through the official number of the blind. About 30€. Interesting: Velux uses these cheap plastic parts for guiding a moving string which works like a saw. And no info how to repair this. Well, well……. no thoughts ;-)

I finished! And it works! 🎆🪛 To be honest, it is FAR from a piece of cake, even with advice. I can't understand how Velux makes us do such difficult things. But I got it done, thanks to you! You want to know why? Because you start rigging from the opposite direction than the actual manual that Velux sent along with the repair kit... You know? You FIRST put in the "click" thingies, and THEN start rigging. In the manual, they FIRST rig halfway, then lay the chords across the blind and give us a fuzzy photo that doesn't make it clear at all what to do next. So, we don't understand and either get stuck or do it all wrong and ruin our blind. 😭 But the way you explained it, it's like threading a sewing machine. It is much more logic. Of course, your Velux is hanging horizontally, and not very high above the floor; so screwing the aluminum frames back in looked much easier for you than it was for me, standing on a ladder obliquely squirming myself... still, thank you 😃

6:30 to 6:45. The switch didn't look that smooth. Are you happy with the switch button?
@darijan-diy
@darijan-diy Ай бұрын
Maybe it goes a little harder, but it's not that bad. At least the switch holds when you turn it on, because with low-priced tools the switch does not hold due to vibrations

Hello. First of all, thanks for the useful video. Do you know if it is possible to use it with a double button to dim 2 lights separately or would I need 2 milight boxes? Does it fit into a standard box under the light-switches? Thank you!
@darijan-diy
@darijan-diy 2 ай бұрын
Hello. This is only one channel, so you would need another one for the second light. According to the measurements, it can fit in the box under the switch, but it depends on how deep the box is. If the box is standard small, then I don't think it will work.

thanks for video. subscribed/liked. one question. I've bought a PARKSIDE® Stille compressor 1500 W 24L, and this compressor is Oil free. but do I need to buy this Air filter regulator & lubricator ? actually why and when I need to buy this? thanks in advance
@darijan-diy
@darijan-diy 3 ай бұрын
Hello. The regulator is good to have because it is the first pot with a filter that holds any condensation that accumulates in the installation. If this is not the case, water may flow when blowing or painting. You need a pot with oil for tools that require lubrication. Attention. Be careful not to use the connector on the oil pot when blowing or painting because everything will be greasy. Also, you should not use the same tube because the inside of the tube is greasy. You must strictly separate this
