I've tried many of the methods to Fix black bars on KZbin embeds on WordPress. Their is a plugin called "YT Portrait Video Embed" which is free & easily available on word press. This works really well!

Chris I had some water come out of the area where the platters spin. Would that destroy the data without any possibility of recovery? Previously there had been a magnet sitting on my drive which cause some corruption and I was working to recover that data before the water.

I just made my first video with caption created inside a video editor program (DaVinci Resolve). SRT file exported, and i uploaded exactly this way, and it says error at 1xx lines, and if i press continue, all the sentences start with and ending as . Any advice why is this happening? Maybe i can fix it quickly, if i accept it and download back from KZbin, then using find and replace, to clean these characters, and then reupload that file. I will try now.

Great question, and the 2024 answer is... kind of. I'm sure Adobe is working on generative fill AI for Premiere, but in the meantime, it works with static shots, and requires some Photoshop work (since PS has some powerful generative fill abilities). Premiere Gal has a good tutorial on it. kzbin.info/www/bejne/Y4vSl4Slh7yLpcU

when I am uploading the srt file, it doesn't retain the font style and subtitle location. why is that?
@ChrisBryantVideo
@ChrisBryantVideo 2 ай бұрын
The SRT file is just the text (including line breaks) and timing: nothing more. The platform where you upload the SRT files (KZbin in this case) dictates how all captions look, and will apply those settings regardless of how you have them look in Premiere. That said, if you want the captions to have a certain look, you can get it just how you want (including background color, placement around the frame, etc) and then export a version of the video with Open Captions... in other words, a version with the captions "baked in" to the video permanently. I do this often for clients when they want a version of their video to play at trade shows or the lobby of their business on silent.

What is the point of the Boot & Nuke if I am just going to drill holes in the disc plates and/or cut them into multiple pieces with a grinder?
@ChrisBryantVideo
@ChrisBryantVideo 4 ай бұрын
I wanted to ensure there's no way anyone could recover anything... it's a failsafe in case areas of the platter were missed when damaging it. Technology is always improving, and my thought is that certainly there's a way to read data off a portion of a recovered platter. Boot & Nuke will help eliminate that concern. Basically it's a CYA kind of thing.

Just drop a hard drive into a plastic container that can handle bleach. After dropping it into a bout 3 gallons of water and add swimming pool chlorine (about 20 lbs.) in a plastic container -or a bag. Place it outside away from anything that might catch on fire. My process will take a week, but involves no safety glasses or power tools!

Thank you so much! In my case I got laser damage to my mini 3 pro of about 30 pixels and it's quite a big blob. So instead of using 20% of gaussian blur I only use 2% with a bit of offset that way the working pixels show up making it even less noticeable

Hey man - sorry to hear that! Out of curiosity, I pulled up the case on B&H to see if there are recent bad reviews, but didn't see any -- maybe you got a defective unit? I know they have since switched the coloring from red to teal -- is that the one you got?

@@dh1163 Depending on how tight I have it packed, I do. Otherwise, I've been folding it down against the tripod body and it's been okay. The great thing about the size of this case is that unless you're putting sand bags in, it's hard to go over the 50lbs airline weight limit with it. Enjoy the case!

Very nice but what if you have 10 drives? Too much work. Once you bent the disc you were done.. In the end who is going to go to all the trouble of trying to read this disc once discarded?
@ChrisBryantVideo
@ChrisBryantVideo 8 ай бұрын
10 drives requires a bit more work for sure, but it also means there's x10 data that's out there for someone to try to get. Chances are probably pretty good that no one will try reading the disc once it's discarded, but you could also think of it this way: if you threw your wallet in a garbage can, who would find it and try to do some damage with it? A discarded hard drive can look a lot like a full wallet to the right person. For me, it's not worth taking that chance, no matter how small.
@skykingimagery899
@skykingimagery899 8 ай бұрын
@@ChrisBryantVideo Still think this is overkill. No need to open the drive. Just discard the entire memory board so there is no interface to the drive. I then take to local recycling center where they shred everything. All drives with no interface board.
