Always enjoy watching your videos . Would love to have a layout like yours . Is your track all electric powered or are you running battery ? Thanks
@CapeCodTrainToddАй бұрын
Thanks! Everything you see in this video is track powered but the GP30 has a switch to make it either track or battery RC with Revo control. I also have 2 other battery powered engines but the majority of my roster is track powered.

Nice selection of music and timing. At first I thought they’d tie down the cargo but it didn’t seem to rattle too much.
@CapeCodTrainToddАй бұрын
It was a gamble in not tying it down because if one of those big cukes shifted it could have tipped the car and derailed the train. That would have made for an exciting video😃

Lucky so far this winter. Are you a member of the Nauset club? I'm thinking about rejoining. It's been a decade since i left the club.
@CapeCodTrainTodd9 ай бұрын
We have been lucky with the snow so far but lack of it will probably mean a drought in Summer. I am not a club member. I knew a couple of the founders but they only have the overhead for G. They do have some nice layouts in other scales but I'm a G guy.

What are the fancy roofs made from?
@CapeCodTrainTodd9 ай бұрын
The tower roofs? I replaced 3 old tired lanterns on my house and thought the caps would make for an interesting feature on a future build for the RR and several years later they did. I have learned to always keep my eyes open for interesting junk.😁

Where’s that beautiful music?
@CapeCodTrainTodd10 ай бұрын
Oh no. I don't know what happened to it. i just had a look and I suspect that the music that was once free to use without license from youtube has been removed from that free list. This has happened to a few of my other videos too. This is lousy because that music made the video feel magical.

This would be perfect for my railway, im in bergen and i have an SM32 scale railway, however, the snow quickly turns to ice so what ive had to do up till this point is boil water and pour it on the rails to melt the ice and then get an engine (live steam) to push the rest of the snow out the way.
@CapeCodTrainTodd10 ай бұрын
It is rare that we get the right kind of snow that my little trains can move and once it turns to ice, game over. I put together a shovel using a broom stick and a piece of azek, that is plastic trim that won't scratch the track like a metal shovel would. I slide this along the track and push the slush away to get the trains running again.
