I've got 2 original Chikanobu pieces hanging right above my head while watching this

I stayed for both performances to enjoy all the dance performances (the 2 shows differed slightly). Perfect weather and setting with the lake and garden all around. Is there any link to the story behind it, particularly the period in Japan when women were fighters/warriors, thus the couple exchanging the sword and the fan ?

They're talking about having a party on the weekend (saturday) i think and at the end they're asked what kind of suit/costume they will wear. One will be spider man, one a vampire, one a easter bunny, one a bug. One guy also asked if it is okay to bring friends with him, and got answered "of course, and please bring your girlfriend". Edit: The one lady will wear a Aikido's(合気道) Keikogi (稽古着) uniform because she is an Aikido teacher. (I had to google what Aikido was, it was martial arts)

The place is truly beautiful the staff that works there is extremely Pleasant and friendly the greeting staff that welcomes you in the door we're also very pleasant and friendly the Museum and Gift Shop was quite Pleasant and it was nice to see the culture of the Japanese people I take my mom there once a year for Mother's Day for lunch and a nice stroll through the gardens the food is always excellent and our waitress was wonderful my only major complaint is the security staff that works there me and my mom we're 70% through the gardens walking the different pathways and enjoying the scenery around 4:20 my mom went to the restroom and before she could get into the restroom she was met with a security officer that glared at her and said the Morikami Gardens closes at exactly 5 p.m. all guests must be out of the park at 5 p.m. he stood there the entire time while my mom was in the restroom as soon as my mom came out of the restroom he walked directly directly behind my mom no more than a foot behind her we were feeling intimidated and rushed my mom can only walk so fast as she is elderly every time my mom would have to take a break and sit down on a bench to catch her breath the very rude Security man would stand there tapping his foot and giving us nasty looks and proceeded to get onto his walkie-talkie and state to another security officer that he was working on getting the guest out as fast as he could in less than 1 minutes time he got back on his walkie-talkie and said she's still sitting on the bench I then got up with my mom and ask what the rush was that it was only 4:30 and the park does not close until 5 p.m. to please give my mom time to exit in a calm manner and he still staying behind us less than a foot away and walk us all the way to the main doors by the time we got to the car and inside the car my mom was literally crying and out of breath she couldn't understand why he was being so impatient and rushing us so badly and even after I started the car in the parking lot while he stood there staring at us the time was only 5:05 p.m.

I love Morikami Gardens it really is a beautiful place take my mom every year for Mother's Day my only suggestion is that they get some new staff members this last time we went just this last Mother's Day the security staff that they have working there is extremely extremely rude and impatient it was 4:30 and they literally got behind me and my mom as we were walking down the paths and rushed us out of there my mom can only walk so fast and has to take breaks every so often we went to go sit on the bench they literally stand there and he kept tapping his foot in a irritated fashion while he got on his walkie-talkie and was complaining to the other security member that he was working as fast as he could to get the guest out of the park and he kept clearing his throat and giving us the evil eye my mom can only walk so fast and he literally was walking right behind us the whole entire time if the park closes at 5 and it was only 4:30 I don't understand what the rush was and they should not expect everybody to be out of there at exactly 5 it takes time especially the elderly to move around no one wants to go there spend money and feel like they have to be rushed you go there to relax and enjoy yourself and you should be able to walk in a calm gradual pace I just think it's awful the way we were treated by the security staff the people that greeted us when we walked in the door were extremely Pleasant and nice and professional however the security you have working there clearly does not like their job my mom could not even use the restroom without the security guy standing and directly in front of the door while he was on his walkie-talkie how uncomfortable is that Mother's Day he literally walked less than a foot from behind my mom and it felt like he was practically pushing us out of there I told him it's only 4:30 and to please give my mom time an he got on his walkie-talkie again and said I'm trying to get them out of here it is supposed to be pleasant just wasn't we couldn't enjoy ourselves and my mom hasn't stopped complaining about it since that she felt so intimidated and so harassed and so rushed also we got there early we got there at 12 and had a beautiful lunch and our waitress was also extremely Pleasant and professional and the food was excellent so I have no complaints about the park or your regular staff or the people that work in the restaurant they were all professional courteous and pleasant it's just the security that works there at Morikami Gardens really need to find other jobs if they hate their job that much and feel they have to harass the people so they can get out of there at exactly 5 is just not right
