Wise. Children are safe in an amount of water they can safely play in, dad can supervise them closely, while he is able enjoy doing what he is doing. Clever thinking outside the box. The beach will have many more self made pools because of this. Kudos . Great parenting.

my fiancé did this once for our baby girl and now we do it everytime! usually my sister and nieces or friends with their kiddos come along and it’s been lifesaving! even though we hold my daughter in the ocean since she’s not even 2, it gives so much anxiety cause the waves here can be huge and i’m 5’ lol. my fiancé is 6’3 so i feel safe when he’s he’s there but with my sister and i who are both short as hell, with 3 little ones total, this has been a lifesaver!
