I wonder when Minecraft speedrunners will realise that you can increase tick speed to make things go faster. Or that the Ender Dragon isn't the literal end of the game.

hey so really weird you started this video describing a psychological phenomenon that has been debunked. stockholm syndrome doesn’t exist and the reason the stockholm incident “baffled” police is because the police were so incompetent throughout the entire incident that it turned the victims against them. the police attempted to discredit the hostages’ experiences by pretending as if some bizarre psychological phenomena had overtaken them. the person heading the police response was also the psychiatrist who invented the term stockholm syndrome, and as the incident was in large part his fault he had ample motive to try and discredit anyone criticizing him.

There's another possible explanation for how the South Park XP glitch stopped working without a traditional update. Frequently since the very early days of gaming, glitches or cheat codes were introduced not for the benefit of the player. In fact, they often were added for the sake of making it easier for QA engineers to test as much of the game as possible, without having to grind endlessly to get through to later areas of the game. My hypothesis is this: the South Park devs added the XP glitch with a "time bomb" built in from the very beginning. The glitch was intentional, and also, they put a specific date into the code for it to stop working. Just a thought.

Legacy of the Wizard on the NES is another game that benefits from pausing. Pausing in that game resets your jump status and allows for infinite jumps, which makes speedrunning the game much faster.

Fixing bugs isn’t anti-speed running it’s just removing unplanned exploits so that speed run records will be actual speed run records, sorry but I hate that people who exploit the game to skip sections think they did a true speed run cause that just makes you a cheater, your not playing through the game as fast as possible your just skipping and cheating. If it’s something like b-hopping that’s not an intentional mechanic necessarily but was acknowledged as a good tactic, but save glitching or glitching through the map to skip sections is not speed running as much as people wanna cope
@stubbwinkley40153 күн бұрын
Cool, you’ll love the fact that most speedrun games have a no glitch/cheat category. That way you don’t have to spend your time bashing other people’s interests while demonstrating very clearly you don’t actually understand that interest.

@@stubbwinkley4015those always push the boundaries if not outright using glitches. I don't understand why speedrunners are so dedicated to avoid actually playing a game.

@@kek-senpai243 They aren’t. That’s a silly thing to say. They aren’t trying to avoid playing the game, they’re competing for the fastest time to beat it. That’s like saying taking a shortcut in Mario Kart is “being dedicated to avoid actually playing the game.”

@@stubbwinkley4015 there's a difference between using an in-game shortcut and glitching out of bonds.

Explorers of Sky Recruit them all no WM seems painful. Not only are the levels randomly generated, leading to immense variation in the times, but you have to recruit a lot of Pokemon. To be fair, the golden mask makes you able to more easily recruit enemies, but Kecleon with 0.1% recruit rate after all buffs are stacked seems painful. It clocks in at roughly one and a half days to finish. I mean the any% record is 5 hours and at least 3 of those hours are cutscenes.

There are some things in here that really bother me, information wise. Most modified consoles aren't replacing hardware with superior hardware. Unless the OS is homebrewed as well I doubt the console would boot properly. Normally they're addon chips that're bodged onto the board. Like J-tagging a 360. In the case of the original Xbox, it was already on a pentium III so the best way to mod an old one back in the day was to get Mech Commander I think, which had a linux backend on the software side which allowed you to soft-mod the console without actually modifying hardware. Also since it was basically just a pentium 3 pc you could replace the harddrive with a huge 500GB at the time. Original PS3 is also capable of running Linux OS (or at least it was I heard that slim models had it patched out) And unupdated MGS4 ps3 were later models that can play ps2 games without being the original 80gb model with the PS2 hardware built in. So it was enabled via software as long as you don't update it. (So ps3 could always play ps2 games Sony just doesn't want you to.) Modding consoles is mostly to get around their dumb built in software lockdowns. Most hardware mods are just adding HDMI outputs to components like GPU already built into the console (Gamecube already has a ATi GPU built in and it has a spot on original models that you can just pretty much solder an HDMI jack onto it.
