As an old timer who had the reputation of crossing both the old Tweed bar and Southport bar, if it were at all possible. I loved the Vsea. Its great advantage was that it didnt broach in following seas, thus while others got into trouble coming back through bars I could simply cross the waves knowing the 85 Evinrude would push the bow through no problem. Sure it slammed a little into head seas but the trip home was a breeze. The duck bill cuddy was ugly, but then I misjudged on the Currumbin bar one day and had to drive through a three metre wave going out. It cracked the cab but no more than 20 litres of water was in the boat when I stopped outside to check for damage. It was also a breeze in the Pressure waves inside the Tweed breakwater, I hope the new hull maintains this invaluable characteristic in the new hull. She was lost by the guy I sold her to, on the Jumpinpin bar, The lady K was not recovered.
