Stumbling across this at 2:12am has made me extremely happy. You see, I’m now what we used to refer to as an “old head”, and cut my teeth as a performer at gigs that were for all intents and purposes, exactly the same as what I’m watching now. We would play f*ckin’ anywhere, it became as close to an exercise in guerrilla warfare as we could make it, we would play abandoned warehouses, backyards, empty paddocks on the outskirts of town, parking lots. We even played a show in an old sheep-shearing shed once (it was bullsh*t hot & stunk something feral). I would be being extremely honest in guessing around 75% of these shows got axed by the “enemy” (The NSW Police Force”) it was an inevitability, who the f*ck were we to thumb our noses and organise our own entertainment when no one else was. Pricks. I’ve spent a good portion of my life playing live music in bands & still to this day I’m still discovering new bands that are absolute weapons, out there putting in the grind for the total love for the music. There has never been a time when there wasn’t some group of people, so totally dedicated & utterly determined to make themselves be heard. I’m honestly impressed with the integrity you kid’s display & the faithfulness to the music is f*ckin’ rad. Keep on giving it your all, keep your eyes on your opponent & never relent and loose yourself. 🤘

Some folks are assholes. I wouldn't really care. Kids have to have a chance to cut loose. I remember that there was a time when I played music and was a kid. Get off your high horses you nasty old turds. As long as they aren't hurting you or destroying your property it's perfectly healthy.

Who ever said Keep goin' needs to be booted from the band, he wont take you anywhere but down. IF he was in the band that is.

in the 80s we'd have shows in our living room, when the cops would be called they would come into the house. We had the walls all signed and art work done by people who came to the party.... everyone would start chanting... sign the wall, sign the wall and the cops would sign the wall and leave haha

It was me. I heard the first guitar intro, and it was way out of tune. I had to call the cops.

No offense Mental Bouquet but, as someone who has been listening to young bands much like yourselves practicing in storage units, garages, and out in the middle of nowhere fields in south Florida since 1986 I feel like I can provide some sage advice that comes from the heart. Don't let the bass player sing. Your main singer has that shit nailed to the fucking wall. Meantime, maybe get some singing lessons so you can sing the songs you wrote in tune.
@marcusjohnson541213 күн бұрын
The second band should play instrumentals. Their singing was as bad as karaoke. Just stick to screaming dudes. Leave the singing to John Legend.
