Break the 1st 2 blocks of stairs. Put a ladder next to them at 3 blocks high. That will keep zombies from coming up.

With those fetch missions, you can clear out the whole place before triggering the rally point and ALL of the loot re-appears. Sadly, so do all the zombies.

You can punch dead bushes and green bushes by buildings to get your first few woods instead of punching the trees; Great Video! :D

For scarab beetles, the best spot to get them is under the shed in the pipe on the right side. There’s a handful of them and they cannot escape. Otherwise, a level 9 crossbow with splinter arrows get the job done in one shot!

Overal - keep your character better fed... its not good to be half hungry, as long as you have food/water. Better carry it in your belly than in your inventory... besides, if your character unexpectedly slows down, it can cost you live sometimes (like deep under water)...

I enjoy collecting rare animals. I only pick those up. Animals are great fun. Not too expensive. Let the rain water the grass until you get sprinklers. Plus grass plots are nice to decorate your base. Make the recycler to make trash cubes to buy bait at the Trade Shop. Name the llama Kuzco. 😂

The engine is excellent for changing your raft't orientation/direction (towards your destination) and then you turn it off and continue by sail, while collecting nice amount of things "automatically" by nets... 😀

Yeah that's what I was aiming for but if you go upstream the sail won't move very fast the engine will still be self sufficient.

@@slothlingproduction well... as long as going at ANY speed (not returning) then it should be okay... you have enough to do onboard, like smelting ores, building things, cooking foods etc so going slowly is no problem IMO :) BTW if you see any high-value items (drums, crates) floating around outside the reach of your catching nets, it is still worth catching them by the hook, as they contain many items. Highest priority ressource is wood/planks. Close second is iron ore/ingots/bolts/hinges. Diving mask and fins can be used independently, they are not cheap to make and break down after some time so you may want to use only one of them (my tip is fins without mask)...

You are perfectly functional, little low on ressources, but nothing serious, just would recommend you do armouring (with iron) the outer edge of your raft... then shark is not nibbling on it any more... and make your 2nd floor bigger. It works even if it overhangs over the bottom floor... no fear in amount of squares vs. engine(s) guy with bit bigger than your boat and three floors was able to move on single engine still... Tip - if you stay (on anker) farther from an island, shark stays around your raft and you may be able to dive (for ressources like scrap, iron ore etc.) without harrasement...

ok Dedooper jelly is made through the dupper machine. it now douplicates your stuff AND de-dopper trinkets into the de-dopper jelly. Just thought I'd help you with that one...

The torches you have there can hang on simple poles too... you then have the "regullar" wall available to hang another chest... you will need/want many chests... try to sort your ressources, find them stable place... And don't hesitate making your top floor bigger, many many more space for things needed.

Planks is THE most needed ressource... they are relativelly easy to get, but you neeed them constantly, so don't let any planks pass by...

Build at least bit bigger raft, you NEED room... also bigger storage box(es). Then think about armoring your raft, then no need fending off shark. Enough to armour outside edge. Also, catching nests allow to catch items also while doing other thinks. At least along the edge where you are (mostly) going to... (sail direction?)

The nice thing about the nests is you dont even have to use arrows or kill the sea chickens. They collect feathers over time, but if you need food go for it. Its nice to see others still posting videos about this game. Its my go to relaxation game.

With the Duper/De-Duper, you do not have to go to the oak tree each time. The ASL terminals in the research stations have this ability as well! I hope its not to late to grab the ant queen parts off her body! Granted, the armor and tools are fun but kind of worthless...

We are at similar parts of the game where we are just doing every little thing before new game + It's cool to see I'm not the only one who wants a 100% before the leap to a new game also in that mantis fight try to use salt arrows it won't take as long next time but other than that all is good great gameplay and commentary

I still didn't take the infected broodmother on. I didn't see a point. I also just salt arrows the first time and felt like it was easier but I would need to farm salt more often.

Burgl quests gradually gets a bit of raw science. Grinding ant hills for infused ones produce more infused in one area instead of running around to find them. Red ants are the easiest, so if you go for the ant hills kill every single ant to spawn more infused ants faster, sometimes they spawn immediately. Hope this helps

Now that your in NG+ you are going to realize how important the duper/de-duper is. The grind will change from grinding bugs, to grinding science and duplicating whatever you need. An easy way to grind science is to take on the lower yard MIX.R, but let the bugs win just before you do, rinse, and repeat! However, it does get boring. Playing the game through and taking on every infused but you see is my preferred method. Better stock up on heals!!

I would recommend fighting the infected broodmother before advancing to NG+ even though she isn’t required. I did not, and I regret it. She’s is almost impossible now and I am missing out on some powerful gear!
