That John Amos is really something else in the McDonald's commercial. But before was played James Evans on the TV sitcom Good Times, he played Gordie the weatherman at WJM-TV on The Mary Tyler Moore Show in 1970.

McDonalds always had great ad campaigns. Jingles that stuck in your head without having to resort to a catchy pop tune by Justin Bieber or something like these days. I actually bought the record of "I'd Like To Buy The World A Coke" (45, 2 sides of same song!) because the song actual made it to top 40 and 12yo me thought it was great! LOL yes, I still have it. Point being, their 70s ads especially were always fun. Thanks for the upload!

Michael Mann tried to replicate Miami Vice with Crime Story, but really missed the mark. It was set in Chicago in the 60s and they had music of the time in some episodes, ala Miami Vice, but there was no comparison. There were so many actors who had been in episodes of Miami Vice, in Crime Story, I expected Crockett and Tubbs to come walking in. Even Martin Ferrero, who played Izzy, in Miami Vice, was in a couple of episodes. No other show will ever top Miami Vice ♥️

They later changed the commercial so that the mother says the baby's name refers to the city of Concord, Massachusetts, not to their car. Not only was that revised ending a LOT less funny, but it also didn't make sense. First of all, the name of the city, Concord, is spelled differently than the name of the car, Concorde. Second, if the family was living in Concord, Massachusetts, either at the time of this car ride or within the previous couple of years, wouldn't the older girl have known it? Why would she need to ask, then?
