During the hedgecutting ban between the first of March and the end of August you’re still entitled to cut roadside grass verges and even cut long grass only with hedge cutters instead of the hedges or tree’s themselves. Nothing ever nests in grass.

@@pak6103 ya been there done that myself, just make sure u have all things checked over on the paperwork side of things and there’s no spelling mistakes as u have to get through airports first.. other than that side of things it’s just like being at home and you’ll get settled in very quickly tbh, u don’t need to take any work boots as they are strict about bringing in disease into the country and would recommend buying some outside plus it saves weight in the suitcase, don’t pack over heavy as you rlly won’t need all the clothes u think which I learned the hard way 😂 simple thing like making sure ur phone is unlocked to any network is something ppl don’t think about as you’ll need to get a newzealand SIM card.. other than that it’s just a learning curve rlly. What part u heading to

@@pak6103 depends on the person u working for, when I was there my first time I had very little time free and hardly got to sleep 4/5 hours most nights but every place is different but they all try take week off for Christmas and new years as time to do ur own thing… north island has better climate than south

@@eire77 well obviously that does all vary on the contractors price but on an average price I wouldn’t say it’s that bad for the farmer, the contractors price isn’t the biggest problem with the farming industry and is definitely not the biggest issue farmers have with all the other red flags making it hard for them to make money (that’s just my opinion)
