I played his guitar - a Del Vecchio and when I was in his condo in Leblon (Rio) in 1976, I played the DoSouto and Giannini too. Maria was there.

From the 2nd LP Cut the Cake . It's just like school in 1969/70 . In 1974 Mate told me about this Funk group he heard in some London club , Scottish ( what ?) called the Average White Band .... I laughed ,you winding me up ? Lent me a cassette of the White album AWB what an outfit . Was in town that weekend to buy anything with AWB on it A funk band that didn't sell out to Disco .

So we so confused back then 1975 on the campus of the University of Oklahoma one night at the Alpha Phi Alpha house this group was playing Person to Person. People was just listening to the music if you liked and you could dance to it, it was hit.. Our minds for one night was there to enjoy the music.. and did we ever.. Glad for those brothers who gone on Jerry Lewis always had that smile to welcome us even though we weren’t part of the fraternity, he was an ambassador.. now 49 years later my roommate Jerry King from Altus told me about the Alpha House.
