How did Radio Free Burningman fall by the wayside for BMIR anyway? Seems an FCC rumor came out around that time. Also, our favorite station in '96 was 98.7 KFUK!! His studios were on stilts!! Talk about slack! But we enjoyed RFBM, and fondly remember "John Hell" and "Dusty Balls" as great on air talents. Great board too!

96 was my first year. When I watch this video I have particular memories of watching, feeling, smelling, listening and tasting this wood being burnt. It was a blessed sculpture.

Looks like The cube was preset to solve in only six moves. It's Pretty cool that the robot can turn and manipulate the cube. Now take this solved cube from the robot and give it to a kid to mix it up. I want to see the robot manipulate the cube after it is "thoroughly mixed"

I think this was my second off-Playa event after going to ATA to see Chuck Cirino and Scott Beal's videos from Bman 1995. I didn't know what the Helco was happening, all I knew was I liked it... Aman, John Law & John Bayeman...

Wow. What a great documentation of process from back then. Crimson with dark hair! Fireman Dale Scott (RIP). And quite possibly one of the last collaborative meetings involving John Law.

I lived with Larry his son in the family home with a lot of the paintings on the walls and the grand piano with the big glass wall Millbrae and part of San Carlos visible through it, he went out with my mom 4 a bit Larry the son that is, and it was amazing how detailed and big some of these were, and the topics were so great with so much detail and thought put into them, Talking about the 90s hear people i stayed/lived there for 3 to 4 years also with my girlfriend in the bottom of the house and also went there on and off for almost 20 probably more b4 that, They were great people and Larry (keno) lol...if you see this thank you for everything, By the way this is Tony aka Dimitri AKA you know whose son. She passed away in 2009 because she would not get away from certain things and it caught up with her 😢 me well I became a mechanic and have a Hellcat and a demon and bought a Speed Shop which is basically a mod shop where are we modify cars with one of my friends and I race them alot also. Still got the copy of the book you gave me before they were out I'm glad to see they got out sooner or later. His son Larry or as I call him Keno is a very talented artist to, Maybe in a different bit of kind of art but still very very talented and very intelligent. One of the best flamingo guitar players I've heard.
